Zane's Nursery

Well, I am excited to finally feel happy about the Nursery. It still needs some finishing touches but I am glad to be satisfied with it. The window brings in some extremely harsh light so it was hard to take pictures without a glare. I closed the curtains but its still hard to see without the light.
The curtains we found at the Goodwill, just some scrape material for $4 but my amazing Honey Man sewed them up and created some really pretty curtains.

I have been enjoying a CD that I bought for Zane when he was still in the womb. Its a instrumental lullaby CD which I never played until now. Zane loves it when I put it on for him at bed time. He starts clapping to it, and then rubs his head in his little stuff bunny and teddy bear. He sure makes life so fun and cozy :)

Five Dollar Bike

Jon and I found this five dollar bike at a garage sale. It works so beautifully. I had so much fun riding it to my friend Julie's for afternoon tea yesterday :)

Sunday Afternoon Garden Visit

Jon and I went to a lovely Botanical Garden on Sunday afternoon. It was such a delightful time to get out of the house and breath in the fresh air and see all the lovelies blooming away.
There also was an amazing forest behind the Botanical Garden which we took some fun pictures. We had so much fun walking through the little paths that led this way and that and admired all the gorgeous greenery and flowers.

I found these four little snails, I thought they were so beautiful.
The little lilly pond was so gorgeous.

Wishing everyone a blessed week.

Morning Bread

What is the price of two sparrows--one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it.
Matthew 10:29
“Count yourself most fortunate—happy indeed!—if people overlook you, take no notice of you, or treat you with little respect. For then you have the opportunity to seek only the respect of God Himself. If you make this a spiritual principle that guides your life, you will have no lack of honor in this life (at least in the eyes of truly spiritual people), and you will be honored when you finally step from this life into the next. Believe me when I tell you this!”
Theresa of Avila (1515-1582)

How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?  John 5:44 (ESV)

Just a little encouragement for me today. I love the scripture in Matthew. It is such a sweet reminder that our Heavenly father is watching and does truly see and care for us, when we feel so small and so overwhelmed by life's journey.
I wish everyone such a peaceful and lovely day:)

Motives Monday/ On Hold

Today has been "Spring Cleaning" Day around here. It seems like things get dirtier when you start out. Not even half way done but sure am feeling good. I had to take an hour and half  nap to get revitalized for the second half of the day. It is so nice to feel my energy coming back. I hope it stays this way.

Jon and I got out tonight and had a lovely dinner with the baby. I had a yummy gyro wrap which the baby helped me with. He was so cute siting in his high chair trying to be grown up. He wouldn't drink out of his sippy cup because he wanted to drink what we were drinking. Jon would use his straw to give the baby drink and the baby just loved it. Later when we got home we went for a evening walk with the pup and the baby. Strydess is starting to calm down. She listens very well and tries to please when she can. Her faults, she gets too excited when she sees a kitty. She could easily drag me along side her without her even noticing. Her other fault when on a walk. She jumps out of her skin when other dogs bark at her. She is so cute she gets so scared and I have to calm her down. Who would ever think such a beast would be so skittish and shy. The baby just loved talking to her whenever she would come up to him.

Anyways, back to Mondays. I have come to the conclusion that I am going to pause my Motives Mondays for the time being. Can't muster up enough strength for them lately and I don't want to use the energy I do have only on makeup for the week. So thats that for now Lol!

Hoping everyone a very lovely week. I am trying to get back into the blogging world. I have been so absent and I apologize. I am looking forward to all my favorite reading which is you all!

Pregnant Woman Eats From Honey Man

One of Jon's many delightful meals he has been making for my pregnant cravings.

This dish was a baked fish with home made bread crumbs ( Saltines) and crushed pecans. The veggies are asparagus wrapped in pancetta cooked on a skillet. The sauce is a mustard base? Not sure exactly but it was superb!
The lemonade topped it off with a lovely movie as the baby went down to bed.

Zane at 11 Months

So sad to realize that Zane will be a year old in 3 weeks. He has 71/2 teeth now Lol! He is so cute when he smiles. He is saying "Dadeeeee", "Momeeeee", "babyyyyy"," Auntyyy" now. He just loves going through my purse and Jon's computer bag. He loves picking things up and taste testing them before he goes on his little way.

I have been getting his nursery in order these last couple of weeks. A little garage sailing here and there has enabled us to have a cozy little nursery for him. I will try to get some pictures of it soon.

Jon and I are starting to get excited for Zane's first birthday. We are not sure yet what we are going to do but he will definitely be getting his own cake :)

I have had a pretty slow week myself due to first trimester sickness. Not much to talk about except that I have been trying to stay on top of the house cleaning and such which I think I have failed at this week. It is so hard when all your energy is zapped so quickly. I am hoping that it won't be getting any worse Lol!
Many wishes and blessings to you all dear readers.

John 20:28,29
28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.   29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Motives Monday/ Event In MI

Hello Everyone. I am trying to catch up the last week. I hope you all had a most delightful Memorial Day Weekend.
Anyways, I wanted to post my Makeup Event and it took me until today to get the pics up!
We stayed at this incredible ski resort/lodge. It was so beautiful and refreshing to be out and about.
Every building had a Switzerland/German feel to it.
I didn't get any pictures of the resort inside this time, you will have to forgive me :)
Back to makeup Lol! We set up our makeup in one of the huge conference rooms where the speakers and all the attendees spent 2/12 days.
We ate and learned and played with makeup in this room. There was a huge Eveta school of girls who attended this event and we had so much fun with them.
The last day the girls from Eveta school got to compete in a contest of a makeover. There were 10 teams made up of 3 girls per team. They got to use Motives and do whatever their artistic heads could muster up on each other. I was delighted to be one of the judges.
Here are some of the first shots of the models.
and here are the after shots.

I thought they all did an excellent job! I had a hard time judging them all. I couldn't help but admire all of their aspiring talent.

It has been so much fun being away and spending time at an event that hosted 3 celebrity makeup artists, but it was SO delightful returning home to my Sweet Baby Boy and Honey Man. I have never left my baby that long before and it hurt so bad. I cried when I had to leave him with the neighbor for a couple of hours until his daddy could get home from chicago. I thought he was going to cry when I left him but no I did Lol! I could barely finish telling my sweet neighbor all his directions for feeding and sleeping and such without stopping and trying to control my tears Lol!!

I wish you all a delightful week!
So much Love
