Hello blogging world! I am back from my little blogging break but before you get excited I have to give you some sad news. I will be changing a few things about my blog. Well, really I am actually closing this blog which is really sad to say. I am still not fully decided about it. It makes me sad to stop this blog all together because I started using this blog just a month after I was married and all during my two pregnancies. So many memories have been made and documented here.

So yes my blog will be relocating to anther page, I will be just taking it a few steps towards a different approach. I will share the link for my new blog here so feel free to come visit me whenever. It is a baking blog and geared more towards the sweet tooth :) I will also have a post here or there about regular life as well and the babies.

Blogging Break

So sorry everyone I have been so absent lately. I can't seem to get a grip with this blog and thus I have come to the conclusion that I should take a wee blogging break. I can't stand that I haven't been able to keep up so I will hopefully get everything in motion again some time soon and jump back in. I don't know how long it will be for but I will miss you all and still try to pop in on you whenever I can.

Makeup Tutorial

What have my sister and I have been up to these last couple of days????

Well, I have to admit we are a little addicted to

MAKEUP!!!!!!

Elizabeth and I created this web site this past year which is dedicated to eye makeup. Its called

eye-makeup-tricks.com

Since being in Florida for the time being it has been so delightful that we are able to be together and now start creating and publishing makeup tutorials which is something we are always complaining about that we can't ever seem to do with us both being in two different states.

Here is one of the tutorials that is just up on the page, but I thought I would share the pics here on my blog for everyone to see as well.

Elizabeth is the model just incase you were having a hard time figuring that one out :)

Also so sorry I have dropped off the face of the earth these last few weeks. I have been going through a writers block or I should say a blogging block, so bear with me and I am hoping those inspirational juices will soon start to flow again. Sure miss you all and looking forward to catching up.

Playmates

Zane has started his potty training which is something he takes very seriously. He wants to be out of those diapers soon which his daddy and I are all for :) He loves his potty and when he goes in it he says "mama poopoo" with such pride :) Only some very mild accidents thus far. I have been fearing him taking his diaper off while in his crib, which he still hasn't done yet but does know how to do. Hopefully he will not repeat the awful stories of his mama and aunty who loved to finger paint when they were his age Ha!!!!

We are still in Florida which has been really nice . While Elizabeth and Benjamin get ready for Benjamin's deployment in July, Honey Man will be managing Benjamin's side businesses, which is web page development.

Elizabeth and I have been trying to get ourselves encouraged in teaching the babies to read and have been keeping up a little schedule of playing and teaching the three boys their reading, which is basically us going through a small amount of flash cards with words on them every so often throughout the day. As well has some math cards with dots and also some encyclopedic knowledge cards with great big pictures of animals, plants and other great new things to learn about. When they see something that they have learned or recognized for instance, the word Kangaroo And when we show them a kangaroo on youtube, their little faces break into a delightful smile of recognition and delight which really encourages their mama's :)

For Father's Day we are all headed on a road trip to Key West. Because Key West is such a pricy place, we will be staying in a little condo at the Navy Base which is right on the beach.

So on the road we will go and I will try to document it and take some photos to post when I get back.

Proud Sister

My eldest brother Nathan just graduated from film school, I am so excited to see where the Lord will take him now that he is all finished. I should say that I am also so proud of my sister in law as well. She was the one at home with the two small boys while he worked full time and went to full time school, they both have been going and going non stop up to this point for along time :)

With that being said Nathan after working 2 years on his first feature-length film, starts filming on July 30!

TSOL (pronounced "soul"): is the name of his film

Praying For Our Sons

Well, today is the fist day of my commitment to pray 21 days for my boys.
I have joined a lovely group of women who have committed 21 days on behalf of raising up their sons to be Godly men through prayer. The book is called Warrior Prayers which is by Brooke Mcglothlin,
I joined through my dear friend Daisy who is the leader of our group via blog world. If you have boys and would love to join us feel free to click on Daisy's link above and leave a comment for her :)

So far for today's devotion/ prayer time which covered Obedience
I enjoyed reading through the scriptures and praying them for and over my sons.
Here are just a few,,,

May Zane and Ezra obey Jesus' commandments, and remain in His love
(John 15:10).

Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, may Zane and Ezra obey the LORD our God so that it will go well with them
(Jeremiah 42:6).

May Zane and Ezra return to the LORD their God, and obey with all their heart and all their soul all the commands God has given
(Deuteronomy 30:2).

Cowboys And The Bubbles

This little Cowboy of mine is just loving his new found delight....

BUBBLES, yes he is inthralled with them, can't get enough of them.

His other delight???

His Cowboy Boots, can't go anywhere without them. When hew wakes from his sleep in the morning, has to have them on, when he wakes from his nap in the afternoon, has to put them on.

This little guy would be happy wearing his boots with or without his britches :)

Did I mention that we happen to be out of town at the moment?

Yes we saddled up and left the ranch to go a visitin the other Cowboy who happens to be double cousins with this little

Cowboy.

So we are having a hoedown down here in Sunny Florida visiting the family.

Yes sometimes the two little Cowboy cousins have some difference of opinions when it comes to sharing bubbles and such, so I tell my little Cowboy, "If your cousin outdraws you boy, walk away. There’s plenty o’ time to look tough when your outta’ sight." :)

Ezra 5 Months

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter,

softened 1/2 cup chunky or smooth peanut butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1 egg 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375°. Cream the butter, peanut butter and sugars until light. Add the egg and mix until fluffy. Blend the flour, baking powder, soda and salt together well. Add these dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Add the chocolate chips. Drop cookie dough by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375°.

These cookies are so much fun,

you might want to make a double batch if your like me, (I can't get enough of them)

They were super easy to make and also very easy to consume :)

Dining Room Paint

Honey Man and I painted our dining room set just a few weeks back. This set my mom gave to me and got for free from a dear friend, who's mother was wanting to get rid of some furniture. At that time I was only 16 but my mom knew I would be needing a dining room set when I got older and I am so glad she stored this for me, such a wise and sweet mama I have :) And a sweet daddy for storing it all these years. I still have to get the breakfast buffet which is too large for our house right now.

This set was in very nice condition just needed to be stripped and stained which would cost a small fortune which we are not quite ready to pay yet. So late one evening I had just finished painting a dresser with this black flat paint and I thought, why don't I paint the dining room furniture!! So Honey Man and I stayed up way past our bed time to get it painted while the babies slept. The next day we did a second coat and then later finished with a little bit of distressing.

The paint has freshened up the dinning room

and changed the whole feeling of this part of the house.

A Birthday for Him

We had fun celebrating Jon's Birthday on Monday. I ordered some of his gifts online so they were a little late in arriving which has given us the pleasure of celebrating his Birthday all week.

He ordered his favorite carrot cake from me and we were eating off of it all week. We were sad when it was all gone. Maybe he can make it for me for my Mother's Day present :)

A Delightful Photo shoot

I had the privilege of taking some pictures of this yummy baby yesterday :)

His little spirit kept me laughing and laughing. His little baby rolls and diaper bottom were so much fun to capture.

My friend Daisy over at Graceful Becoming happens to be the mom of this little cutie pie. She is the loveliest hostess, cook and friend. Our time got eaten up so quickly without us even realizing it. She served me her delicious soup and some lovely coconut short bread cookies for dessert. A delightful cup of hot earl grey tea to top it off for me.

I hope to do some more photo shoots with them in the short future :)

Resurection Sunday

Here are some late pics of our Sunday celebrating our Lord's resurrection.

Zane had a blast hunting his eggs, something he has just learned about, his biggest delight was discovering that there was something very yummy inside those colorful eggs.

I have been enjoying my new 35millimeter lens that I got in the mail last week and boy oh boy am I having so much fun taking pictures of the babies.

I found this little vest at the thrift store a couple days before Easter and couldn't resist it.

Zane now wishes me to dress him in his Sunday suspenders whenever he happens to find them in his dresser drawers.

This past week has been a full one. Full of rejoicing over Christ's resurrection and also a week of sorrow. Days ago winds were hitting our home in such a violent force that brought concern to our hearts and wondering what was going on in other states that also had tornado warnings.

Learning of the death of David Wilkerson whom I have mourned over and over this last week has been so so sad for me. You can read more about him here.You may remember the daily devotional I had posted a few posts back? Unknowing it would be his last few devotions on this earth. I know that he will be greatly missed and his love of the Lord has blessed so many people. and now also just learning of the lives that have been taken in the last tornadoes is so devastating and heart breaking. Yes this last week has been one of sorrow and sadness. But as David Wilkerson has just written,

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

If you should ask me what is happening in the world right now, I would answer,

“Everything Jesus warned us would happen in the last days!”

What did Jesus tell us to do when we see all these things coming to pass? He

said, “Look up, lift up your heads (eyes); for your redemption is drawing

near” (21:28).

"Oh beloved, if you love Jesus, you should not be surprised or fearful. GOD HAS

EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL."

Yes, we tremble at first seeing and hearing such dire news—but this is the

time to look unto Jesus. He brought us this far—he is the author of our

faith—he will bring us to the finish line with hope and peace, no matter what

happens.

Today, let not any bad news cast down your soul. Look up—keep your entire

focus on Jesus. He is coming very soon."

Easter Cake

I have been planing on making this Martha Stewart cake for the last two weeks and today it happened. I got cozy in the kitchen and baked away. This cake was fun but as usal I was impatient. So I rushed to have it ready for 4:00 tea. My nest started floating down stream by the time I got to take pictures :) Next time I will give myself enough time for the chocolate ganache to cool.

And and guess who I caught licking the cake while I stepped away for a split second?

This little man decided he had waited too long for his tea.

One lick was not enough.

Aha!!! Caught him red handed!!!

So the floating nest cake also had a couple of tongue marks on the side. No biggie,

but will it survive mommy's pony tail that whips into the chocolate ganache when she leans down to clean little boys chocolate face from getting on the couch?

It survived :)

And was worth it all!!

LOOKING UNTO JESUS

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).

If you should ask me what is happening in the world right now, I would answer,

“Everything Jesus warned us would happen in the last days!” He warned of

men’s hearts failing them with fear from beholding the things happening on

earth. He warned of earthquakes in various places—nations rising against

nations—ethnic group against ethnic group.

We have lived to see the beginning of all the end-time prophecies being

fulfilled before our very eyes. Consider Luke 21:11, “Great earthquakes in

various places.”

What did Jesus tell us to do when we see all these things coming to pass? He

said, “Look up, lift up your heads (eyes); for your redemption is drawing

near” (21:28).

Oh beloved, if you love Jesus, you should not be surprised or fearful. GOD HAS

Kefir Smoothie

Our Kefir grains have been growing so quickly and we have been trying to keep up with them. Almost every morning for breakfast we have our Kefir. Here is one of the recipes we have enjoyed.

You will need about 2 -3 cups kefir

(if you don't have kefir you can substitute yogurt instead.)

2 Spoons of Honey.

2 Bananas

3 Strawberries

Cupful of Ice

1 Orange

Blitz together and Enjoy :)

If anyone is wanting some Kefir grains please let me know.

We are growing to much for our family as it is.

Week Of Spring Time

Got out this week and enjoyed going to the playground and laying around on the grass, taking pictures of babies and smelling the gorgeous breezy winds that feel so nice on the face. It seems amazing to me that we are finally out of winter.

Zane had a blast going down the slide and swinging with daddy.

Ezra is getting so big and even more adorable. Every time I wake up in the mornings he is such a happy baby. The minute he opens his eyes he is smiling at me. Even when I am not all that responsive at 3:00 a.m. he still smiles away at me and laughs as well. He has been getting a better schedule to sleeping through the night now. Just once or twice a night he has a feeding. My back has been out due to a really old mattress that we have owned for since we have been married and also nursing has been tough because of my back. Honey-Man got us a brand new mattress and oh my goodness my sleep is SO lovely. I am happy Ezra is not waking so often because now I am one happy clam as I sleep away. My back is doing so much better and only triggers when I do the dishes, maybe I could hire a maid wouldn't that be brilliant!!

Zane loves to be Mr. Business Man, he has his empty pen cap and just loves pretending to write something down on a piece of paper or talk on the phone and stop to write down some directions as he says, "uhuh ok bye".

I made more of Elizabeth's Short Bread cookies again. This time I warmed up some chocolate chips and dipped them half way in. They were super yummy.

It has been raining a lot this last week. I really don't mind because the rain is a spring rain and it brings in gorgeous clouds that have winds in them and reminds me of Easter Time. Also the winds remind me of growing up in gorgeous Colorado. Sure do miss it :(

Honey Man made a "Crawling Track" for Ezra this last week. A crawling Track is for babies to encourage them to start crawling which improves their brain growth. We have been starting a program that teaches babies to read. We started using Your baby Can Read products and really liked them but through deeper research we discovered the Glenn Doman Method that is a lot more in depth on teaching young children to read. So we are now doing this instead. We have been so excited about this program for both Zane and Ezra. I have been reading Glenn Doman's book called How To Teach Your Baby To Read and it has been so so interesting. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to teach your baby or child to read.

Ezra loves hearing mine and Zane's encouragement as we cheer him on to creeping and soon crawling on his crawling track. Zane is starting to realize that Ezra is more then just a baby and maybe someone who he can play with now :)

This Saturday morning we awoke bright and early to go to the farmers market in town. We are trying to find a local farmer so we can start buying fresh raw milk instead of the store bought.We found a nice farmer who gave us a lot of information regarding buying into a share of a cow and such. I am getting excited to start drinking "real" milk now :)

It was so much fun. I was so enjoying all the fresh colors and smells as we walked through the huge crowd of people. I was looking for a nice cup of coffee to enjoy but alas, the line was way to long for me.

Zane had fun but he was ready for some breakfast. He is an egg man and must have his eggs every morning lol!

On our way home we passed the tea room I have been wanting to go to this last year. Its called Basically British and it is so beautiful. It has a lovely gift shop with all kinds of teas and dishes as well as other British imports. They have better pictures on their site. I guess I should start putting some money aside because it is a pricey.

I was so glad to get the house cleaned last night and today. It has been a mess around here. I have been addicted to my How To Teach Your Baby to Read Book and also we have been super busy making the flash cards. Wanting to get started on planning on a special resurrection meal for Easter Sunday. I am so inspired for Easter time. I have such happy memories growing up and finding the special Easter baskets my parents would hide for us kids. And then later getting into my Easter Dress for morning church with my Easter hat of course :)

Around The House

I feel like I have been away from this blog for a very long time. This last week seems forever for some reason. I find myself slipping away from the blogging world and I am trying to hold on for dear life. I don't want to let go of it. I know that blogging comes and goes for me but I have kept a sort of schedule throughout 3 years of blogging that consists of a few posts a week. I don't want to drop the ball now after all the time that has passed. Especially having little ones about to capture their moments of darling and adorableness. This blog has been such a great outlet for me to express a little bit of my life and happenings. I don't write much because writing isn't my forte.

Anyways I don't know what I am trying to say but, I am trying to fight thoughts of quitting because of the busyness in my life right now. So hopefully I can break through and get used to my new current busyness and not feel like I have dropped off the face of the earth with my blogging home. Writing this out is helping me get my thoughts together and in order and adjusting to change but realizing that I don't and won't let go for now, but if I haven't posted in awhile I am not going to kick myself for it but just make up a huge post instead!! So here is my HUGE post LOL!

I followed Zane around the other day with my camera and boy did we have fun.

He got to push mommy's computer keys and get photographed for it (He sure loves to sneak in a few little taps on those delicious keys when he thinks mommy is not looking, their just too irresistible for him)

He got to climb the staircase and even look out the window to see that spring has arrived in our backyard.

He got to tell mommy about his juice that he loves so much and anything else that happens to be in the refrigerator.

He got to show mommy the birds, jabbering "look, look"

He got to show mommy how he can go down stairs.

And what is baby Ezra doing while we are playing?

Starting to stir.

Must have known mommy is watching.

Now wondering what mommy is doing with that big black thing in her hands.

Realizing that maybe he is not ready to have his picture taken right now.

Just a little shy.

Zane is loving this little friend who he calls, "Duck"

This little friend follows him every where he goes. Sometimes falling down and having his master Zane help him up to get rolling along again.

Zane is wanting to take his little friend outside with him and maybe take him to the pond to meet all the other nice ducks.

Warm weather has finally arrived and yes we are coming alive again after this last week of sickness. Feeling so much better and wanting to get out of the house.

Anybody Need a Kleenex?

Yes a bad bug hit us the beginning of last week.

This bear above has been toted by this little man all week, comforting him whenever he needs it. I have been toting the little man around most of the time as well :)

And this little man is also requesting to be held by his mommy. His has not had a happy couple of days poor baby. We have been so glad that daddy took a couple of days off of work so he could help with the toting of the little ones.

Around the middle of the week Honey Man and I both came down with the bad bug, I also broke my toe which shows that it has been kind of a rough week lol.

We got something in the mail that made us jump up and down with joy when it arrived the other day. It really cheered up our weary souls.

We invested in a Vita-Mix with our tax return and boy are we loving it. We have been cooking away with it. The motor gets so hot that it makes soups and serves them piping hot.

The night we got it in we put it to work immediately.

We made a yummy cheddar potato soup.

The fresh ingredients soothed our sore throats and boy oh boy was it delicious.

The next morning we blended up a nice strawberry and almond kefir smoothy.

And for dinner we made cream of celery soup.

We are also able to grind wheat with this mixer which I am eager to try soon. Besides the weariness of being sick we have been able to cozy up as a family and enjoy each other in so many ways.

New Window Treatment

Finished this project this morning and it sure gave us a new fresh feeling for this living room space.

We have been wanting to do something new but not sure what.

We also got a new set of couches on Craigslist for almost nothing and we are now enjoying new furniture also.

These curtains are so fun because they have brought more warmth to our living space.

Ezra is loving the feel of the new couches.

On another note,

I have been having a hard

time getting enthusiasm to make a post lately.

I am hoping I can come out of my winter hideout and let spring time bring me some inspiration for the blog.

Late Night Sewing Adventure

Somebody made me a delicious meal. A ham sandwich with cheese and lettuce.

some tea. And for dessert, chocolate mini cakes. So who is this amazing chef ?

This is the work station Chef Zane has been using these last couple of weeks. He sure keeps his clean- up crew busy. He cooks all the time and is constantly trying new flavors tastes new dishes he is experimenting with. Some times he acts the italian chef and throws the pots and pans when he is not satisfied with a particular dish.

And this little bug is just keeping us so happy. His smiles and coos are filling the house with laughter. He has such a sweet sense of humor.

Elizabeth made shortbread cookies for us last week. Started craving them when she left so I rolled up my sleeves and joined chef Zane in the kitchen. We baked these cookies and boy oh boy are these cookies yummy!!!

Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients

3/4 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup sugar, plus extra for sprinkling

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

6 to 7 ounces very good semisweet chocolate, finely chopped

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together the butter and 1 cup of sugar until they are just combined. Add the vanilla. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour and salt, then add them to the butter-and-sugar mixture. Mix on low speed until the dough starts to come together. Dump onto a surface dusted with flour and shape into a flat disk. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.

Roll the dough 1/2-inch thick and cut with a 3 by 1-inch finger-shaped cutter. Place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges begin to brown. Allow to cool to room temperature. When the cookies are cool, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put 3 ounces of the chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave on high power for 30 seconds. (Don't trust your microwave timer; time it with your watch.) Stir with a wooden spoon. Continue to heat and stir in 30-second increments until the chocolate is just melted. Add the remaining chocolate and allow it to sit at room temperature, stirring often, until it's completely smooth. Stir vigorously until the chocolate is smooth and slightly cooled; stirring makes it glossier. Drizzle 1/2 of each cookie with just enough chocolate to coat it.

Cozy Road Trip

Got away for the weekend with cousin Winston, brother in-law Benjamin and my sister in-law Elizabeth. Did I mention that my sister-in law happens to be my twin as well?
Its so fun having the babies all together.
So glad that my in-laws will be here until Monday.
They made an earlier than expected surprise visit out to Ohio and will be staying longer then they first thought.
What a happy solution to such a lonely heart of mine :)

Honey Man's Granola

Can't get enough of this yummy granola :)

Ingredients
(Dry)
4 cups Old Fashion Oats
1 cup almonds
2 cup pecans (Halved)
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup sun flower seeds

(Wet)
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup cranberry juice

(Dried Fruit)
3/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup raisins

1 cup craisins

In a large large bowl combine all dry ingredients.
In a sauce pan combine all wet ingredients and bring to a simmer.
While still hot poor wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl and then and stir well. Line two cookie sheets with foil. Place in a pre heated oven at 250 degrees.
cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until golden brown), flipping with a fork or spatula every 20 minutes.

Pour back into large bowl and mix in dried fruit.

Baby In A Basket

A Valentine's Day Tea With Babies and Pup

Today has been so pleasant and cozy for Valentines. After Zane's nap we had some lunch and then turned on Cranford to watch and a nice cozy tea.

Zane and Strydess waiting together for tea to be brought out. They were watching a lady and little girl walking down the side walk.

Zane loves watching period dramas. He loves looking for the horses and when he sees them he says, "MOOO" :)

When tea and the cookies were ready Zane couldn't stop saying "more, more, more, please, please"

When he saw the steam coming off the tea cup he loved playing with it.

In the middle of our tea and Cranford time the post arrived and a Valentine's Card from Grandma Ginny. Inclosed inside the card was a sweet gift for Ezra.

Zane loved the teddy bear on the front of the card.

So he had to kiss it of course :)

Zane insists the tea isn't hot for him, with his "more, more, more"I can't resist him and I let him sip my tea after warning him it is hot So he sips it very gently and carefully and then he says, "please, please, please, more, more, more" :)

Little Ezra was enjoying the sun shine coming through the window on the couch. He slept a bit and then he awoke for tea which he kicked his legs up and down and stared up at me. His cute little nose and lips are so kissable for mommy,

Here he fell asleep again after a nice long feeding.

Valentines Tea Party

A couple of weeks back I hosted a Valentine's Tea party at my house. Some lovely ladies from my church came as well as my dear Friend Jodi over at ~Wonderful World of Love~

It was so delightful.

Delicious food, lovely flowers and tea arrived with all the beautiful faces that carried them.

Daisy over at developpé...graceful becoming made these adorable cookies on a stick.

We also made Valentine Cards and a Valentines craft.

This was the craft we made. My mom was the one who gave me this idea.

The clanking of tea cups and the sips of tea were thoroughly enjoyed over delicious conversation with lots of laughter and fun.

Scripture Lullabies

My friend Daisy over at developpé...graceful becoming gave me a present for little Ezra when she came over to see me a couple of weeks ago. It was a lullaby Cd called Hidden In My Heart. Here is the web site. I was excited to try it because she told me that it was all pure scripture. I have been putting it on for Zane every time he goes to sleep now and it brings such a peace to my heart, it also about brings tears to my eyes every time I hear the first song. I have now been wanting to burn it to my computer so I can enjoy all of the songs more thoroughly. I thought I would leave the video so you can get a taste for it also.

4 Weeks Old Today

I can hardly believe it has been 4 weeks since this precious baby Ezra entered the world.

The time has flown by so fast and I am still in awe of him. He surprises me every single day.

I am cherishing my nursing time, in the late nights and early mornings, he is a little grunter. He grunts when he is hungry and if I am still sleeping and don't hear him he lets me know and gives out a marvelous scream. :)

He also surprises Strydess. Ever since he arrived she can't get enough of him. She wants to smell him when there is any opportunity for her to. She reminds me of Nana from Petter Pan. She worries when Ezra cries in his bassinet and hurries over to peer over him to check and see if he is alright :)

Strydess is great friends with Zane, they play together all the time. I call them my two toddlers. She is such a baby with him. But when it comes to baby Ezra, she is his Nana.

I have been getting more chores done around the house, more than when I had Zane. I guess I am afraid that I won't be able to get anything done now that I have two babies to take care of instead of one. I panic and cram every opportunity to beat time and get just one more dish washed before Zane wakes from his nap. Or I get one more laundry load started hoping I can finish the laundry earlier incase I can't get to it later. Its funny because that was one of my big fears while I was pregnant. I was worried my house would be a constant state of chaos and disorder and I would be a frazzled wife and mom. So far

caring for a baby is so much easer for me then being pregnant. I was always so tired when I was pregnant with him. I have so much more energy now and more enthusiasm for life in general. All of my hobbies and interests seem fresher and even more appealing to me. I feel like I am coming alive again!

Growing up with cattle as a kid I always looked forward to calving season. Seeing the calves running with their tails held up high, jumping and leaping with all their spunk and vigor. It reminds me of this verse in Malachi

"But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall." Malachi 4:2

The Lord is so gracious because I know he has taken care of me and helped me with all of my fears.

Zane's Teething Days

Zane has had a week of teething.

Our days are filled with him clinging to my legs and crying, following me around the house wimpering, wanting me to hold him. Crying if he sees that I am leaving him because I have to get out to do an errand while he stays with daddy. Yes I have to remind myself that this needy time of his will pass and I will look back and wish I could hold him in my arms again, wish that he wanted me to carry him around the house all day long.

These two little gadgets are his favorite toys these days. He loves his little red phone, and his Micky Mouse fork.

I find his phone in curious places. Yesterday I found his phone under the sink cabinet in the bathroom.

Also in the corner of the bed frame in the down stairs guest bedroom. Its funny because he always seems to find it.

His fork has been EVERYWHERE, I have to clean it every time I use it. Not sure if it just came out of the dogs mouth, the dogs water bowl, toy box, under any nook and cranny he likes to place it.

I sure love this little boy :)

Goings On

We had to say goodbye to my mom last Friday and boy do we miss her. She was so wonderful. I know now what a loss my dad took when he lent her to us for the last 21/2 weeks. She certainly got me inspired to get on my feet again. Her love and affirmation was so so sweet and encouraging to me as a mom and wife. We just ate her up. We are impatiently awaiting a time when both my parents can come out. We sure missed you Dad!!!!!!

while my mom was here I received a package from a delightful friend! Sweet Lisa at Lisa Michele Photography sent us a box with all kinds of wonderful goodies in it. There was a present for each baby and for me. I have just a small bit of that gorgeous chocolate left Lisa!! It was so divine! She was so kind to send Zane a little fork, spoon and plate set which he just loves. He gets so excited when I pull out his plate and he gets to eat with it.

He loves eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches now. Its funny how his apitite has changed since he got his new dinner wear set in :)

I have been wanting to post about my Boppy Pillow that I recovered a couple of weeks ago, Jon and his handy man ways helped me. I have been wanting a Boppy ever since Elizabeth had used one for Winston.

I found a used Boppy at the local thrift store that I got for 1.99 I found some material that was a remnant which was on sale at Joan's and got this pillow cooking.

I love using it. It sure helps with nursing.

Ezra is in is nakey here because he has been "sunning" He has just a touch of Jaundice which is now almost gone thank goodness!

Oh we can't stop smelling and kissing this little guy. It is so rewording to have two babies now. Can't tell you when we will be having more, but I am sure I will forget the labor pains in a couple of weeks
just don't ask me now LOL :)

Ezra's Bassinet

We got this darling bassinet on Craigslist for Ezra last week.
It retails for $200 hundred dollars and we got it for $50 WOO-HOO!

Seeing little Ezra sleeping in it makes me think that he is a grand prince,

which he is of course :)

Another little boy wants to be a baby prince again too.

He must inspect Ezra's new bassinet for him.

Seems to be pretty sturdy.
Yup it should work just fine :)

We received a lovely package in the mail from Aunty Elizabeth and Uncle Benjamin full of clothes that little Winston had worn when he was a baby. Some of these clothes have passed through all the cousins for this outfit has been worn by cousin Winston and Cousin Ahser.

Such a cutie pie.

Thanks so much Elizabeth and Himilce for all the lovely clothes you both sent. I am eager to use them on this precious baby.

Catching Up

I have been having such a lovely time with the new bundle in our house and also enjoying every single minute I have with my mom. She has been keeping the house clean and the mouths fed around here.

She is a busy bee and her plans extend into making more meals and freezing them for us so when she goes I won't feel overwhelmed after her departure.

Zane has had such fun with his new boat that Grammy and Grandpa got him. He loves taking his bath and a toy for the bath is his favorite delight.

So much to catch up on this last week and a half.

I have been meaning to do my giveaway and I feel bad that it got postponed for so long.

What have I been looking online for all day today?

Boots!! Yes a new pair of boots for me.

After having my baby I have been excited to start slimming back into my pre pregnancy clothes again. Style had been a little difficult to accomplish for me when I was pregnant and I am still getting used to styling in the cold, cold weather out here. But the zeal of being cute has come back to me now that I am no longer pregnant and I am excited to order some new boots from CSN stores. This site is so cool, they have everything from cute, cute boots to modern rugs, to everything else under the sun.

Here are some of the boots I found that I loved.

The pair I have decided to get is this pair above but in the tan color, which I had a hard time finding a picture of. I will have to take some pictures when I get them in the mail.

Of course I couldn't end this post without posting a picture of the wee little guy,

Today My mom and I got to go out on the town. We had a nice little adventure going to Hobby Lobby and Panera for the first time with two babies instead of one. It was fun as we decided on new yarn at Hobby Lobby and had a delightful cup of tea at Panera. Zane had so much fun drinking his hot chocolate with his mommy and Grammy and new baby brother.

Little Baby Ezra

We sure have been eating up this little cutie pie. He is such a delight in this house. His little smiles and sounds brings a peace to our little hearts every minute of every day.

I have had a very good recovery time and having my mom here has helped me get on my feet sooner then expected.

Little Zane is amazed that he has a little baby brother. He always gives out a little toddler gasp when he sees Ezra. He also says his name now and than.

Nursing Ezra has been so much easier this time around.

Ezra has no objections about eating and just eats easily and calmly.

Thank you all for your sweet congrats and compliments. I loved reading your comments and rereading them. The meaning of Ezra is Helper or Aid and the meaning of Wyatt is Brave, Strong, Warrior.

We loved Wyatt for a first name but then found Ezra and liked it even better so we decided to make Wyatt his middle.

I hope you all are doing well! I am excited to catch up on all of you soon!! I have been missing my daily reads!

Sweet "Sigh"'

Precious little Ezra Wyatt arrived December 31, 2010 at 10:00 in the morning.

Weight 8lb 11 oz 21 1/2 inches long.

He is such a darling boy. He is nursing very well and he is always so quiet. When he arrived he gave out one little cry and that was it.

Now he is starting to use his little voice only when he is hungry.

We thank you Lord for you goodness and mercy. Your creation is so wonderful, so magnificent.

Christmas Morning

Zane had such a blast Christmas morning. I think his favorite thing to do was to play in all the wrapping paper and scatter it all over the house.

His favorite toys he got was the little chair from Grandpa and Grammy. He loves this chair so much. He brings it with him all over the house and when nap time came he was very upset he could not bring it up the stairs with him.

He also loved his big yellow ball they got him.

From his Daddy and Mommy he got a Mr. Potato Head and a drum with little odds and end toys that little ones love so much.

It was a new experience opening his stocking.

He was so delighted to get his fruity snacks in his Stocking. He LOVES them and throws a little fuss when they are all gone Lol.
When I opened up his little bag of gummies for him, he put all of them in his mouth with his cheeks so stuffed, it scared me he was going to choke. I made him pop them out and eat them 1 at a time.

He also enjoyed his Christmas breakfast.
The tower of donut holes was exactly what he ordered.

Christmas evening we enjoyed a relaxing evening with Jon's Tiramisu and a hot cup of steaming coffee while we read an all time favorite Christmas story,
The Gift of the Magi.
On Sunday we enjoyed watching the Nativity which I am so glad we did. It had been awhile since I had seen it and it really blessed me.

I hope you all have recovered from your Christmas holiday LOL! I don't know if I am ready to leave Christmas behind me. We are planning on taking down our tree this week before the baby arrives :(

This I am sad about, but It sure was heavenly while it lasted.

38 Weeks and Still Kicking

This baby is getting close to being fully cooked I think.

I have been grunting almost every time I lean over or pick Zane up. When I go up the stairs, get into bed, or get out of the car.

I have also been Having a hard time finding clothes to wear. Almost everything seems too small for me.

On Saturday I started getting the babies clothes all ready for his arrival. This picture is just the nice neat start of my mess I created soon afterwards.

After going through the babies cute things I realized that I better make more room for him and put his clothes in one of my dresser drawers, So that got me started on cleaning out my dresser, my closet and Jon's dresser and Jon's closet. I had clothes piling up so high it was horrendous and I also had clothes taking over the entire floor space where ever I put my feet. In the middle of my organizing I had a moment of a complete meltdown and broke out into tears, Why did I do this? I let them fall for awhile, and then got started folding and organizing again.

I am happy to announce that at the end of the NIGHT I finished :)

I wish I had pictures for you all to see the end result but I will describe to you that my dresser drawers are so organized and in good order as well as my closet and side closet. My nursing things are all ready as well as the clothes that will fit me for after the baby is born. I think that some times we have to make a bigger mess so as to get the end and final organized result.

This little man wanted to help and he sure did, he went through all of my boxes of summer clothes and helped empty them out as well as put them away in drawers and then fill the summer box back up again. He talked on his little phone while I cleaned and he brought me odds and ends of things he discovered. By the time he started organizing the things I had just finished organizing it was time for him to go see his daddy :)

Here he is eating his favorite snack which happens to be popcorn. Oranges is his new found favorite as well. He is watching the Velveteen Rabbit in the pictures, which I thought was so cute because it was so much older for him to understand. He kept up with it and seemed to enjoy it.

I love his little Kitty slippers.

I have been feeling some contractions now and then, which make me think that this just might be it, but it never seems to come of anything. I will be sure to let you all know when this little bundle of joy arrives.

Apron Swap

I am just loving this apron I received in the mail from Tiffany.

I can't believe she sewed it and it sure makes me wish I could sew this well. I think she needs to get an Etsy shop going.

Got it hanging on the apron rack and it sure compliments my kitchen when I wear it or when it is just hanging there being beautiful.

Fun Finds

I got some pictures taken of my purse that I got from the thrift store yesterday. I found this purse last week and the price was 5.99 but it wasn't Monday and Monday's are 25% off days and I have a closet full of purses, so I told myself I could wait for it to go on sale so I pushed it way way back behind the wrack of purses so no one would find it and come back on Monday. When Monday arrived I figured some determined thriftier who has the same taste as me found my purse, but lo and behold, it was still there waiting for me :)

I also got these yummy sweaters for the two boys.Trying to get the new baby's clothes organized has been fun this time around. For Zane I was not at all organized with his clothing and he ended up growing too fast and missed out on a lot of cute things to wear.

I have a nice basket set aside for the baby, it fits right under my side of the bed which will hold most of the the baby's clothes and diapers. I have such a special delight in going through his clothes and also going through his baby blankets which are so soft to the touch and getting them all ready for his arrival.

I am expecting something special to arrive in the mail from CSN stores for the baby which I will reveal when he arrives. I have enjoyed going through CSN's store and their pages and pages of children's items. Check them out if you are looking to buy online and don't want to pay for shipping. They have some really cute kids backpacks which I loved and thought would be so cute for Zane as a Christmas present.

Fresh Raspberries for Breakfast

Enjoying fresh raspberries for breakfast. I have been craving them with fresh cream and a little sugar sprinkled on top. I will have to try this next. Did any of you mammas crave fruit with cream while you were pregnant? I remember my mom told me she craved canned peaches with evaporated milk.

It has been snowing all day today and a bit of yesterday as well. We have been keeping the stove stocked with plenty of good old seasoned wood.

Going out with the baby is so fun because we get him all wrapped up so good and snug and he can barely move his arms. His little face peeks out of his big hood with his cheeks as little apples of red in the middle. He also has sweet little gloves that he wears and its so funny when he eats his slices of apples crackers while wearing them. Babies are so fun in the cold winter time.

I have been planning on posting several things this week because I have such a lot to be inspired about, I can't wait to make a post on my handmade apron from Tiffany over at Meek and Chic, the apron is absolutely GORGEOUS and I love the colors she chose. So this post and also a giveaway as well as a post about my new purse I got from the thrift store today is in store, we will see if I am able to accomplish all of this lol!

First Snow

We awoke to our fist snow for this year! It started off just a couple flakes here and there this morning but now it's snowing buckets out.

We got our Christmas tree up and decorated last week which makes this snow even cozier.

Because of this mornings first snow of the year we decided to have a lovely breakfast out in the living room in front of our big window where the Christmas is.

Zane is his Daddy's little chef. He was prepping the coffee for mommy and daddy,

Selecting just the right eggs.

And also serving us.

There is something so cozy about having fresh fruit in the morning while I have been pregnant. I usually can't eat fresh fruit so early in the mornings but with this baby that is what is on his menu.

These two boys are certainly brothers because thats all Zane eats in the mornings,

any kind of egg and fresh fruit.

Thanksgiving Happenings

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Its a wonderful rainy day out. So fresh and still warm and snug inside.

Started out this morning baking pies. Jon wanted a pecan pie and I wanted a pumpkin, of course I will be enjoying both :)

We wanted to eat our Thanksgiving dinner around 2:30 -3:00 ish, but plans change which works out better because I have all of my preparations done and now just waiting for that bird to finish cooking which means I get to sit down and take a break before our feast and make a post!

Just need to finish up some of the dishes and get Zane all dressed up for his turkey dinner.

I got my makeup on YAY! Didn't get that hair curled though. Honey Man is getting his shower and shave now so we should all be looking our best.

Got the table set and all ready for all that yummy food.

On my way home from the store yesterday I realized that the date was November 24th, which means it was my 3rd Anniversary to my amazing Honey Man!! How did we forget it? Luckily I had cheesecake fixings in the fridge and we had a nice romantic evening eating hot head boritos and oreo cheese cake watching an old movie, shop around the corner. Cozy, cozy cozy!

Its so funny because I was talking to my mom on the phone yesterday and my parents celebrate the same anniversary as we do but we both forgot to wish each other happy tidings LOL!!! Happy late Anniversary mom and dad!!!

If you are wondering what I had for lunch today while cooking? I will be happy to inform you that I had a huge slice of oreo cheesecake :)

Pumpkin Fun

Getting ready for Thanksgiving :)

We have shopped and planned our menu and now just getting ready to cook it for the wonderful day of Thanksgiving.

It will be just the three of us + the bump this year so we are trying to keep down the amount of food we make which is kinda hard Especially for pregnant me. It is so fun having these cravings in the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. All my cravings have been given wonderful care and attention to by the way :)

I have been having fun getting inspired for decorating the table and place settings. I found a really neat china set that I got for almost nothing and it will be just perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Jon got this prego picture of me a couple of days ago. I am now 34 weeks along which amazes me. It sure goes by so much faster when your chasing another little one around.

This little man is getting so big and so smart. He has been teething his big boy teeth now so his gums are getting full.

He is really excited about mommy having a baby bump. He lifts my shirt up and kisses my tummy and says "baby' and sometimes he says "boy"

Were are having such a blast being parents of this little man and even now feeling the reality of having another baby so soon.

We have so much to be thankful for. Jon and I were just talking today how good the Lord is to us. We see his love in so many ways throughout our daily lives. Today Jon came home with three bags of really nice cloth diapers. He was going to buy from a lady off of craigslist. When he got home from picking them up he had tears in his eyes because the lady told him that the Lord was telling her to give them to us and also that He loves us so much. These diapers are $10 a piece and there were three huge bags full. The true knowledge of God's grace and love is more then we can handle at times.

My Not So Flopped Chocolate Mousse

Yesterday I was trying to come up with a dessert idea to bring over for my dear friend Julie and her husband who just had their first baby boy 2 weeks ago. I got the craving for chocolate mouse and looked inside my fridge and found the necessary items for the recipe.

Once the chocolate was good and melted in its double boiler I got out the cream and found that it had gone bad already Oh no!! So I switched my recipe around and followed another that I had read up on by adding some egg yolks. My chocolate ratio was way off so I added more egg yolks.

Very doubtful it was not going to thicken I poured my flopped mousse into expresso cups and put them in the fridge while I whipped up something else for my friends.

After arriving home after my lovely visit of holding such a beautiful baby ( little Andrew had gorgeous blue eyes and such long blond hair and oh he felt so good in my arms) I checked on the mouse and found out that it wasn't such a flop as I had first thought.

IT WAS TO DIE FOR!!!!

I won't be leaving a recipe below because I can't even remember what I did. I do know that I added 3 ounces of decaf coffee which gave a yummy flavor.

A Week Of Heavenly Bliss

Happy November greetings everyone!

Whew, its been an exciting week and I am wishing I could have stayed on top of my blog to document it all.

My mom flew out to OH last week and she left yesterday afternoon to see my sister Elizabeth in FL. Don't know if I can write down all of our fun, it went by SO incredibly fast and it was all heavenly bliss.

I feel so spoiled and loved. Zane and I both were fighting over her attention all week LOL! Zane just LOVED seeing his Grammy, he got showered with so much love and kisses. Every time mom would laugh and admire him he would just burst with joy.

His grammy brought him a lovely collection of new books to read along with a new pink pig that he sleeps with who is named Arnold (form his favorite show Kipper) and he also loves his new little owl bag that she made for him.

Jon and I got spoiled too with all her scrumptious cooking, cleaning, bathing the baby, changing the baby, feeding the baby, baby sitting, loving on the pup (who worships her) cooking and cooking and cooking!! She also got some craft projects up and going with me that I will be posting about soon! Oh boy what a spoiled girl I am. Didn't want to share her with Elizabeth but after the week of spoiling I was afraid I might be rotten LOL!

Homemade Upholstered Headboard

After finishing the master bedroom I have gotten an itch to upholster our headboard. Now I am not committing myself to this project but I have taken some time into researching how to cover our headboard and I have discovered that It really doesn't seem all that complicated :)

I started looking online and got even more encouraged seeing all these lovely pictures, I also found this link that shows you how to upholster your headboard.

What got me thinking of doing this project was because I was going through CSN stores who I happen to love and also do product reviews for. Anyways I found that they have some lovely and yummy upholstered headboards with free shipping.

Knitting

Been attempting to knit a baby blanket but we will see if my efforts bare fruit. I have had to undo and redo so many times that I grow exhausted to believe that I can do this. I found that Jo-Ann's offers knitting classes and I am thinking that I might just go. I also found a local knitting group that meets once a week at a local coffee shop. I also might go to this to boots up my moral. Although I have read up and looked up on youtube how to do certain stitches and such, I find it would be so much easier and fun if my mom was here to answer all my questions, hint hint mom :)

I have found some delightful knitting and crocheting blogs that have gotten me all creative. I think seeing all that lovely yarn does something to me. I am really enjoying my time learning how to knit. Something I hope to improve on more and more.

Oh I just love it when I can put this belly to good use. :)

Kitchen Pics

Well, It's about time I get these pictures up!

I am still searching for curtains for the windows but I thought it's fine to post without them.

These three pictures are the "Before" pictures of the kitchen.

I had so much fun this morning getting my kitchen all ready for you to see,

but I have to admit again that it's usually never this clean :)

We took the top cabinet doors off because they never shut and I was always banging my head on them.

For the bottom cabinets we chose a crackle paint finish. It kinda gives a more aged and weathered look.

I am loving my new little office nook. I have all my artsy and etsy stuff set up and stored here.

I got the chalkboard for 50 cents and then I painted it. I have been trying to get even more organized by starting to write down my weekly menu and chores on it!

We will see if I can accomplish this before the baby comes.

I am getting ready to send my apron off and also excited to hang up my new apron on my apron rack which I am to receive from Tiffany over at Meek + Chic

We are swapping buds from the apron swap my mom had a couple of weeks ago. I will do a post about it as soon as I get the go ahead email.

It is so much fun to have a cabinet dedicated only for the delights of tea. Let me tell you, I use this cabinet more than any other cabinet in the kitchen LOL! My Honey-Man would probably say, "thats sad" :)

It's so refreshing to be this organized, that's one good thing about having no doors for the cabinets, It forces me to now stay organized or else the whole world will see my disorder.

Late Night Cravings and Thoughts of Pregnancy

Got some wonderful cravings after dinner last night and decided to make my dreams come true!

found my mom's apple pie recipe in my recipe book and got my hands busy!!

Suprisingly had just enough apples on hand!!!

probably one of the yummiest crusts I have made, I realized that I had sifted the flour this time, boy did it sure make that crust melt in my mouth.

Yum yum yum!!

I have been thinking about pregnancy lately, and how hard it can be at times. Being tired and week isn't my cup of tea usually. Especially added with the extra emotional roller-coast it takes you on.

Domestic Bliss

Enjoying my domestic life around here. Wearing Honey- Man slippers with my prego destroyed jeans complimented with my new prego black shirt and my warm fuzzy peach robe!!

I have so enjoyed seeing the leaves falling all over, filling up our yard so quickly. Yesterday it started raining and strong winds accompanied. It felt like it was snowing leaves, I opened the window and that cool crisp smell entered my lunges which was like breathing in the Lord's breath of life for the first time as Adam and Eve did :)

I have had such a ripe season of finding gorgeous candles this last month at garage sales for steal deals, I have been lighting my candles all over the house whenever that cozy feeling comes over me, accompanied with a strong cup of tea of course :)

Zane is having a blast with his new slippers. One pair grey and one pair red, he is always bringing them to us and asking us to put them on him. I love that he wears them but I love it even more when he wears them mix-matched LOL :)

I got a shot of my living room actually clean YAY!! If you look to the bottom right you can see the pup snoozing away on her gigantic bed.

Zane had a blast while mommy was cleaning the bedroom and linen closet the other day.

Just some fun random pictures of the little lad. He is growing so fast and learning so much its really hard to document all of it. I am trying to keep my camcorder on hand whenever Zane is blubbering his baby dialect which is so adorable.

Peaches have been eaten in mass quantities in this house for the past several months. Can't get enough of those babies.

Zane In His Diapers and Other Things

I have been trying to get some pictures of Zane lately and this little guy is so hard to capture. When he is awake he is non stop motion. Never able to sit down for a second. He is the go go go go baby in this house. He loves wrestling with the dog. His favorite spot is the dogs huge bed in the living room. He always runs and dives right into it. The dog loves it when he visits and I'm sure she wonders who's bed it really belongs to.

These pictures are in the summer and I was so delighted to find them in my Iphoto. As you can see I couldn't get a head on picture of him. I will have to try and coax him with food next time :)

I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely week. We have been putting on sweaters and coats around here, getting cold too quickly I think. I found myself wearing my huge peach robe all day long yesterday and today. Its so cozy I can't seem to take it off, but I think thats the best, to just stay in my cozies all day long in my warm little abode with my baby enjoying this fall season.
Oh and I have also started a knitting project which I am excited to post about soon, wish me luck because I have never been a knitter, have been a crocheter all my life. I learned how to knit last year but never did anything with it. So this year I have gotten the knitting bug in me and have been faithfully knitting my project joyously. There is something so beautiful about holding yarn in between my fingers and making something useful and lovely with it.

Baby On Its Way

This precious baby boy of ours was under the weather a few days ago. We try not to spoil him with watching to much tv but on occasions like these we let him watch his favorite kipper show.

Jon snuggled him in our bed the other morning while I was getting myself ready for the day. Later this week when I downloaded my camera into my computer I found these pictures that I forgotten Jon had taken. So glad he did, and after seeing them made me wish I had jumped back in bed with the little guy all cozy and snug.

Yesterday Jon surprised me by waking me up wanting to take me to Columbus to get an ultrasound done, he decided he couldn't wait any longer to find out the baby's gender lol, I found in that instant that I couldn't wait either.

So we packed some yummy snacks and some tea in a thermos for our cozy little drive up to Columbus, found the nice humble little clinic that scheduled us in that morning. Getting more and more excited as we walked down the hall to the ultrasound room where there was a huge tv screen and a bed with a couch for family to sit and watch with all the computers opposite the bed.

The technician asked me to get up on the bed and had me pull my shirt up so she could squirt that creamy stuff on my belly for the little magic wand to see the baby.

As she was looking at the screen to check for the gender, my mind started getting more and more excited as I saw my precious baby moving and kicking all about. "was it a girl, or was it a boy" I though to myself it must be a boy, While I was thinking and watching the screen I could see the little baby moving this way and that, but it was hiding its hands and feet in front of its face so that the technician couldn't determine the gender. Must get that shyness from its mommy :)

Anyways the technician got the baby to move so she could see what it was.

As we waited, Jon seemed serious as even Zane seemed a little anxious, probably hoping for a baby brother. We heard the technician announce, "it looks like little Zane will be having a baby brother"

So yes we are having another baby boy!!!!!

Couldn't get over how excited we were as we drove away from the clinic and found a little restaurant to sit and chat about our little boy that is on his way.

I love reading old english books, and how they would write about their cozy nurseries where the children lived and played and grew up in.

I have been in the happy stage of nesting for our newest little one. It has been very enjoyable because I usually dread the thought of organizing. My closets and cupboards are twinkling with shine and order. My basement is on the verge of being put away and cleaned out. The kitchen cupboards are organized due to the new paint job. And the garage is FINALLY cleaned out from our garage sale!! This gives such a cozy and snug feeling to my senses. Still not finished but had to stop and share how wonderful a feeling I am partaking in. There is something cozy about having a baby in the winter time. I think because your safe and snug indoors and the warmth you feel seems even warmer. I am so thankful that I am now feeling better and I really appreciate planning for these next months.

Going With The Moby Wrap

Late last night I was up searching for a baby wrap for the next baby on the way. I finally made my decision and am now excitedly awaiting its arrival.

I love that this wrap is easy on the back. Doing gymnastics growing up hasn't been to kindly to my back and neck. And all the baby wraps seem to depend on the support of the shoulders and neck. I like that this wrap places all the support evenly around the shoulders and the back for support.

I am ordering my Moby Wrap from CSN stores they have everything from Dining Tables to kitchen appliances to baby stuff.

The Unveiling Of The Master Bedroom

*For everyone's information, I usually have a MUCH messier room on my hands then these pictures portray. I cleaned it so super duper clean for this post then I felt ashamed I was lying LOL it really isn't this clean usually, but I do like to look back and imagine that I just live this way all the time LOL!

Anyways back to the new paint color and new furniture.

We started painting because we got a new dresser (the one facing the picture) and it kinda set the direction that we were looking for. So we went and bought some paint and started redoing it all. And also started looking for another dresser.

We first sold our old bedroom set on craigslist which we made more then spending on paint and furniture. This is the other dresser we found, we got it on craigslist.

This chair we found at a garage sale for $8.00 it was in such good condition that I was surprised it was so cheap.

Bedroom down kitchen to go.

Searching for curtains and trying to finish some extra painting so we will see how soon I can get the kitchen posted.

I hope everyone is enjoying the second day of fall. Its funny because I found out it was officially fall yesterday and the day felt like such an introduction to winter. Today I made a nice big pot of Chili which I hope will last us the rest of this week.

Jon and I have been attending a parenting class at church on Wednesday nights now and I am so enjoying it. Our teacher is the Pastor's wife and I have enjoyed all her experience and wisdom, she is really fun and the class is very laid-back. I also love that they serve coffee and yummy desserts. Zane is trying to adjust in the 1 year old nursery now. Every time I leave him I have to make a run for it, he starts crying immediately. I feel sick every time I do it. I can hear him crying down the hall as I go to my class. We try and keep him in the service on Sundays, he loves the worship, he sings so loud that everyone around us looks to see who is singing in such a baby way LOL! He also raises his hands up to Jesus like everyone else. Makes me just want to squeeze him :)

Yummy New Decorations For Kitchen

I have been wanting to post my newly painted Kitchen but don't feel like it is yet finished so I will wait a bit. In the meantime here are some fun new little items that I found and gave a makeover to for my newly painted kitchen.

I got these little plastic pictures at the GoodWill for 1.99 apiece, I thought they would be lovely freshly painted with the color I have chosen for the Kitchen.

I found this little white cabinet at a garage sale for 1.00 that I can use in the kitchen. It needed a little touching up also.

I placed all my spices in these jars that I got for 59 cents at the Christmas Tree store. (I love that store)

I got my spices at the local health food store, I have found that it is so much cheaper to buy spices there then from the regular markets. They measure out how much you want and then seal them in plastic baggies and you are good to go. Of course you have to buy the bottles to put them in but I like that better then the plastic ones that spices come in from the local markets.

I got this chair at a garage sale for 5.00

With Jon's help we went to Hobby Lobby and found some fabric on sale for 2.00 a yard and recovered it so now it looks like this! This chair will go in the Kitchen as well.

I know that coffee has nothing to do with redoing the kitchen but I have been really enjoying my grommet coffee percolator.

I have been warming my milk and frothing it and adding some yummy grommet syrups to it which makes me feel like I am drinking coffee from lovely fine coffee shop around the corner. And yes the coffee has been decaf for the baby :)

Just look at all the yummy froth!

Oh and I got these lovely cups on sale at Elder Beerman's for 8.00 a set of 4 cups. I thought I would love these cups even when I was as old as 80 so I splurged and got 2 sets :)

More pictures to come once I feel fully satisfied I am finished.

We have been suffering from allergies over here, and then got nasty colds that followed. So hopefully I will be back on track this week and get this kitchen finished!

Patty came out last night and we enjoyed a nice long visit. Got to hear the baby's heart beat again and now we're really getting anxious to find out the baby's sex. I will let you know if we plan on going to the local clinic or wait for the school to open in October that takes parents in for free ultrasounds.

Saturday Morning Waffles

Saturday morning I woke up craving waffles.We have been painting our kitchen this last week so the food has been scarce, but the waffle craving must be satisfied. Jon had just bought a really nice waffle maker at the local thrift store for 2 dollars. We weren't sure if it worked or not but we gave it a try.

Something about waffles with berries that just get me :)

I had some frozen cranberries and just a little bit of blue berries which I threw in a pan with sugar. They melted down really nice and were so yummy with their rich colorful sauce.

The recipe I used I should have cut in half. It was huge. We had waffles for breakfast Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon snack and Sunday morning breakfast.

Waffle Recipe:

Ingredients

2 eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon white sugar

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat waffle iron. Beat eggs in large bowl with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla, just until smooth. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot.

I just woke up from a lovely Sunday nap, trying to muster up my strength to go and finish that kitchen. Its all done now and it just needs to be put back together. I can't wait to make a post about it all finished.

Family Record Player

After our garage sale last week we have been reorganizing the house and also cleaning out the house. This has been so refreshing, especially having the fall season upon us.

While we were at the GoodWill dropping off some of our things, we had to go inside to use the

restroom, guess what we came out with?

I really don't know why but I have been wanting a record player for awhile now. This little piece melted my heart, as well as the price, $24.99 We got home and set it up and tried out one of the records that we had bought for a dollar. I found some lovely opera pieces and some old classic movie soundtracks. Low and behold it needs a little tweaking but it sure plays :)

Zane loves it when we put it on, he dances and sings along with it. It reminded me of a toy I had gotten for him awhile back.

I brought down Zane's little Fisher-Price record player that I had bought at a garage sale at the beginning of this summer. I was so excited when I found it because I used to play with this toy when I was little. It had all its records and was in good condition. I got it for a dollar :)

I had put it away so he could enjoy it once he was a little older, which I am glad I did because he is loving it like a new toy :) The sweet tunes that come of it are so dear. Makes me smile when I hear it playing.

I hope everyone is doing well! We have had a fun and busy week.
Decided to sell our bedroom furniture and got it sold and just bought a new dresser and started painting the bedroom YEAH!!
