I have been absent too long! I feel like I haven't anything to write about lately! I have been busy with family and such but I feel like I have been doing more of the not so interesting things lately. 

Saturday was my little nephew Elon's birthday! He turned 2! It was at Elizabeth and Benjamin's house. The whole family gathered! It was a full house with Elizabeth's family, John and I, Nathan and Himilce and Elon of course, Ruthie and Jonathan and his brother, Nathan's co worker. My grandparents and Lizy's kids she nanny's for! It was a blast! There was food, swimming, kitties, games! It felt like christmas!!

  

Tomorrow I have a gynecology appointment:( I'm kinda scared. This is my first time. I'm sure it will be fine! John is taking off work to go with me! He is so sweet!

Dinner For Two

Well, I have  been  cooking for Jonathan, and I have been having a grand time of it. I have found that the smaller amount items of food in the fridge or cabinets tends to have a  better  tastier meal out come than if I had a lot of ingredients to choose from!

Last night I made tuna casserole with different items I found scrounging around my cabinets! I found a can of corn that I used, a bag of macaroni noodles, a bag of Potato Gnocchi's a can of tuna. In the refrigerator I found  some cheese, lemon juice and mayonnaise! It was a success!

I hope everyone had a grand time on their Labor Day Holiday! Jonathan and I went out to chinese, then we found a furniture store that we browsed through, (every thing was way too expensive) We had fun just looking! We were on our way home and I remembered that Saver's (Thrift Store) was having a 50 percent off sale on Labor Day from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 and we were just driving buy for me to remember! Jonathan found a nice pair of shoes for 4 dollars and I found two cute pairs of  shoes. One high heel and the other one flats! We had a lot of fun :) 

Creative Homemaking

I'm at it again!! Ever since I have found the Polyvore site I have been putting sets together in my mind of my home and all the rooms! Anything that has to do with colors and furniture I want to "have at it." I see decorating in a new light now!! It has also helped my wardrobe ideas! I found all the colors in the picture above to fit beautifully! The kitty just happened to fit in with the color combination!!

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I hope everyones Labor Day Holiday is brilliant!! Jonathan and I have stayed in our PJ's all morning drinking coffee and eating peanut butter honey toast!! I will write about the rest of our day latter!! Happy Holiday to you all my blogging friends!!

A Walk To Town

Working From Home

Ever since Jonathan started his new job it has allowed me to work at home building web pages. I have been a little lonely at home by myself but It has been extremely fun! I get to plan my whole day! I have a little reading and tea break when I choose. I get to have time to cook for Jonathan when he comes home from work!

I have been enjoying the LINDT chocolate lately! I love the dark with the intense orange!

Candles

I have been shopping at the Goodwill and Savers recently for used candles! Some of them have smelled so good and I only paid $0.50 cents for!! Now I can never go back to buying new candles at the store for so much!!

House Cleaning

I cleaned and rearranged our house today!! It started with just one little room and what do you know, I rearranged the whole house! It feels much better now! The garage is what really needed help! It was a mess! Boy am I tired! I think Its Tea Time!!

Corrie Ten Boom

I loved reading The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom a couple of years ago! It was very sad and very, very sweet! I found a video of her being interviewed! I envy you if you haven't read the book yet!!  

This interview is so interesting! I love how much wisdom Corrie has! The interviewer is a little strange, so be warned! Perhaps she is just too old school for me. But don't let her ruin your chance to here Corrie Ten Boom tell her amazing story! I will post video # 2 a little later!

Armoire Hunting

I have been on a quest for Armoires. I have been wanting one for our bedroom for awhile. Not that we can even handle it up the 2 stories of stairs in our condo. I have also been looking on Craigslist and there have been a few I have liked. 

We are going to sell our bedroom set and start looking for new furniture on Craigslist! I hope we can find pieces like these above!
