I got this creamy white bedspread at the GoodWill last week for $5.99 I have been wanting a white or Cream bedspread for awhile, my sister Elizabeth at A Sailing Journey made a post about decorating in black and white and I loved it.
I hoped Jon would like it. Before he got home I tried to make it more manly by adding some green to the room. I had some green pillows and a green candle. I really like the color combination. He liked the room, (I think he liked the price I got for the bed spread even better) I told him we can start adding the color green more in our room. I just need to find a picture to hang on the wall over the bed.
I rearranged my dresser and added more creams to it. The little tea pot my sister in law Himilce gave me for Christmas. It burns a tea candle in it. The vase I got at Michael's for 2 dollars.

So pretty Marie!!! :) What a deal!
Oh my goodness! I cannot believe you got that bedspread for only $5.99. That is almost sickening!! I have been searching for something almost identical to that for my new bedroom and found a vintage matalasse bedspread on eBay for $40 + I had to pay $10 for shipping. I thought I was getting such a great deal! I got it in the mail today, and I do like it a lot, but it's awful to know how much I paid compared to your amazing deal. God was trying to bless you! :)
Your room is lovely-- I'm seeing everywhere how popular white is becoming. It's so simple, yet elegant. :)
I just saw on your sidebar only 30 days 'til little Zane's due date! Wow, I bet you are getting so excited! Is his nursery ready?
Have a great weekend, Marie!
I like it marie. It is so pretty and really brings your bedding together with the furniture. I can't believe it was only 5.99
I love it, it's so classic!! I'm glad you love Goodwill as much as I do LOL too bad we can't go thrifting together! :)
That is so funny Meredith about you buying a similar bedspread! I understand you Lol. I bet yours is in better condition than mine. The tassels are coming off on mine. I don't think I could find that bedspread again, its a one in a life time find i think, so I think you still got a great deal. Yes Jon and I are so excited about little Zane's arrival. We haven't put his nursery together because of the move. Even if we don't get approved for our house loan,( we are still waiting to hear back on) we still have to move at the end of June. Kinda crazy time to be moving when the baby is soon to arrive ha ha ha!!
Yeah Amber, I would love to go thrifting we you! I love your taste! It is so nice to go with some one else because my mind always opens up even more when I see you like something I wouldn't have ever thought of noticing before!
I LOVE it! It's exquisitely vintage!
Marie, the bed stread is beautiful and good for you for thinking of John!
