A Delightful Photo shoot

I had the privilege of taking some pictures of this yummy baby yesterday :)
His little spirit kept me laughing and laughing. His little baby rolls and diaper bottom were so much fun to capture.
My friend Daisy over at Graceful Becoming happens to be the mom of this little cutie pie. She is the loveliest hostess, cook and friend. Our time got eaten up so quickly without us even realizing it. She served me her delicious soup and some lovely coconut short bread cookies for dessert. A delightful cup of hot earl grey tea to top it off for me.
I hope to do some more photo shoots with them in the short future :)

Baby On Its Way

This precious baby boy of ours was under the weather a few days ago. We try not to spoil him with watching to much tv but on occasions like these we let him watch his favorite kipper show.
Jon snuggled him in our bed the other morning while I was getting myself ready for the day. Later this week when I downloaded my camera into my computer I found these pictures that I forgotten Jon had taken. So glad he did, and after seeing them made me wish I had jumped back in bed with the little guy all cozy and snug.

Yesterday Jon surprised me by waking me up wanting to take me to Columbus to get an ultrasound done, he decided he couldn't wait any longer to find out the baby's gender lol, I found in that instant that I couldn't wait either.
So we packed some yummy snacks and some tea in a thermos for our cozy little drive up to Columbus, found the nice humble little clinic that scheduled us in that morning. Getting more and more excited as we walked down the hall to the ultrasound room where there was a huge tv screen and a bed with a couch for family to sit and watch with all the computers opposite the bed.
The technician asked me to get up on the bed and had me pull my shirt up so she could squirt that creamy stuff on my belly for the little magic wand to see the baby.
As she was looking at the screen to check for the gender, my mind started getting more and more excited as I saw my precious baby moving and kicking all about. "was it a girl, or was it a boy" I though to myself it must be a boy, While I was thinking and watching the screen I could see the little baby moving this way and that, but it was hiding its hands and feet in front of its face so that the technician couldn't determine the gender. Must get that shyness from its mommy :)
Anyways the technician got the baby to move so she could see what it was.
As we waited, Jon seemed serious as even Zane seemed a little anxious, probably hoping for a baby brother. We heard the technician announce, "it looks like little Zane will be having a baby brother"
So yes we are having another baby boy!!!!!
Couldn't get over how excited we were as we drove away from the clinic and found a little restaurant to sit and chat about our little boy that is on his way.

Hoping everyone is having a lovely weekend :)

Cleanliness is Coziness

Courtesy Of Google Images

I love reading old english books, and how they would write about their cozy nurseries where the children lived and played and grew up in.

I have been in the happy stage of nesting for our newest little one. It has been very enjoyable because I usually dread the thought of organizing. My closets and cupboards are twinkling with shine and order. My basement is on the verge of being put away and cleaned out. The kitchen cupboards are organized due to the new paint job. And the garage is FINALLY cleaned out from our garage sale!! This gives such a cozy and snug feeling to my senses. Still not finished but had to stop and share how wonderful a feeling I am partaking in. There is something cozy about having a baby in the winter time. I think because your safe and snug indoors and the warmth you feel seems even warmer.  I am so thankful that I am now feeling better and I really appreciate planning for these next months.

Picture -Books In Winter
* Robert Louise Stevenson

Summer fading, winter comes-
 frosty mornings, tingling thumbs,
Window robins,winter rooks,
 And the picture story-books.

Water now is turned to stone
  Nurse and I can walk upon;
Still we find the flowing brooks
 In the picture story-books.
All the pretty things put by,
Wait upon the children's eye,
 Sheep and shepherds,
 trees and crooks,
 In the picture story-books.
We may see how all things are
Seas and cities, near and far,
 And the flying fairies' looks,
In the picture story-books.
How am I to sing your praise,
Happy chimney-corner days,
 Sitting safe in nursery nooks,
Reading picture story-books?

My Baby Unborn

I pictured an angel When I prayed for you, I know I was heard, My dreams have come true. We cherish this gift, a life to unfold. Entrusted forever, To have and to hold.
*Author Unknown

My precious little baby, I have loved you from the start. You are a tiny miracle Laying closely to my heart. Each day I feel your presence, Each day you quickly grow, Each day your heart beats softly, As only I could know. So, I'll keep this in a special place And remember each year through, Of this special time in my life In the months I carried you.

So far I am not as committed to posting pictures of me and my tummy. But Jon got one of me when we went out the other night to Zane's waterfall. I will really try to get some more through out the rest of my pregnancy :)

We have been really busy trying to get our garage sale organized and up operating this last week. First day today and 2 more to go.
Missing you all,
Much Love

14 Weeks Prenatal Visit

Today was a beautiful day. The weather was cool and dry which brought back warm memories of my childhood at 9 years old living on the 3R ranch in Colorado. I can remember my mom baking whole wheat bread that tasted of honey when you bite into it. I also remember trying to memorize my times tables so I could win the giant chocolate bar that was earned by completing so many problems under 5 minutes. I also remember Elizabeth and I playing in the pile of huge tractor tires behind the barn and how we created our house out of it and formed all kinds of rooms and such. Also remembering how we used sneak up and to climb on to the horses when they were in the corral when my dad was away and how we would hold on for dear life without having a saddle and bridal and how the horses used to try to scrape us off by riding so close to the fence that we would have to move our bodies over to the other side of their body so as not to get smashed.
I know we were naughty girls Dad :)
*sigh* such happy memories.

I could go on and on but I must stop and write the new memories I created today. First off I am happy to write that I finally got the kitchen floor clean lol, the cabinet doors washed and the back hallways cleared and cleaned. It seems ages since I have been able to feel the clean around my kitchen. The happy feeling of the house being cleaned sure did help my pregnancy hormones from raging. It has been such a frustrating couple of weeks when I can't seem to keep up with everything.
Well, anyways back to my happy cleaning, the reason being is I was expecting my fist prenatal visit from my Midwife Patty this afternoon, which I wanted to serve a nice cup of tea and something yummy to eat. I was planning on making a strawberry pie but ran out of time, So I compromised and went for the boxed brownie mix which happened to be the brand that is all natural. It tastes amazing and  also tastes like "real" food.
Patty came and we chatted over tea for over 4 hours lol! Such happy memories. We discussed all the new births that she delivered and I got all the juicy stories which are always so amazing. I just love how the Lord is with Patty. She is such a remarkable woman. Every birthing story she tells me I am always amazed and blessed to hear about. She has such a sense of humor also so we are always laughing and laughing during her visits.
She did my check up, she said that my urine showed up great. My calcium looked good, my sugar levels were good, my pulse was a runners pulse which made me feel amazing because I haven't stepped outside at all for a walk or a run lol! I guess its that teething baby that keeps me on toes.
My blood pressure was really high which she was shocked about. She made me lay down and take a couple of minutes to relax and breath before she took it again to double check, which taking it the second time showed that it was ok. I guess cleaning the kitchen floor raises my blood pressure or something LOL! My iron was good as well. She told me to start taking some progesterone cream to help with the mood swings and also to help with the crying and such LOL. I think I will take her up on this. She also gave me a list of things I can be taking to help with the upset stomach and vomiting. She gave me some good web sites to visit, to encourage my healthy eating and prenatal care.

We got to listen to the precious heart beat and hear that it was healthy and strong. Jon got to record it :)

Patty's visit made me so excited about pregnancy and birth all over again. It was so fun and exciting to hear all the foods and nutrition that is so important. And it is also so fun to learn so much the second time around. I feel like I have a head start compared to the first time :)

Little Zane recognized her right away and felt at home with her even though it at been about 5 months ago since he had last seen her. It was little Winston's birth I believe.

Sorry no tummy picture today. I do want to start getting those in soon. I just love seeing those of you who do keep us all updated on the size of you and the baby. So much fun.
I wish every one a  blessed day.
So much love

Eight Weeks Pregnant!

Yeah Jon and I are expecting another little munchkin pie!!
We just found out yesterday that I'm 8 weeks pregnant!
I was so relieved when I saw the pregnancy test positive, I felt like if I wasn't pregnant then there was something really wrong with me, moody, exhausted, emotional.
We are so thrilled.
Many blessings and much love!

Patty's Baby Party 2

Saturday morning turned out to be rainy and VERY stormy. It was cozy driving with Jon and the baby the 2 hours to Patty's house.
When we arrived, sure enough there was a buggy and horse drawn outside Patty's front yard.
When we went inside, we were met with babies and moms and kids! It seemed like Patty had a baby in her arms the whole time :) She was holding babies and busy making sure everyone got introduced and such.
The Mennonite girls made hundreds of cookies, I'm not kidding when I mean Hundreds, they were so delicious.
I had so much fun talking with the mothers that also had a home birth and I got to see their babies and hear their stories.
All the Amish mothers showed up, they were so sweet and eager to talk. I loved talking with them and meeting their children.
The party was supposed to be outdoors but with the rain we were inside. The whole house was full of moms and babies :)
Jon was 1 of 3 other dads there. He sat back and held the baby while I got to talk :) He still had a lot of fun even when surrounded by so many woman talking:)
I think Patty needs to have a baby party every 2 years so we can keep in touch with all the moms and meet all the new add ons!
I wanted to take a picture so bad but I couldn't out of respect to all the Amish mothers.

Patty's Baby Party

Tomorrow Jon the baby and I are going to visit Patty who is having a Baby Party. Patty is inviting all the mothers who she delivered their babies for out to her place so we all can meet and get to know each other. She says that she wants us all to meet because we all are so alike and have a lot in common. I'm not sure if any amish families will come or not? I hope so because I have heard a lot about some of the mothers from Patty and I would like to meet them.
I have a present I'm bringing Patty for all the wonderful care she has given me. I found this old
Obstetricians book. The year on the front page says 1825, and the pictures in it are really old looking. I got it at a garage sale for 5 dollars. I hope she likes it because I don't know what else to give her as a thank you gift.
I will let you know how it went. I hope the baby does well in the car because it is a 2 hour trip to her place. I hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Baby Check Up!

Well, I had my ultra sound this morning and it looks like I'm not as far along as I had thought. My cycles are very irregular so I must have gotten pregnant later in the month. I couldn't see the little peanut but I got to see the placenta sack which was very healthy. I go in next Friday and hopefully I will get to see the baby and hear the heart beat! I have been feeling pretty good. I have been really hungry. Besides feeling really tired which  I have been getting a nap in the afternoons and my nose which has been smelling very nasty odors! I haven't been that sick yet, so I hope I will pass that bad part of the pregnancy:) My pants have shrunk in the legs and bottom and have grown really tight in the waist and hips! I hope to write more later!

Oh yes, my dear sister Katheryn just found out she's pregnant also! She's on her 5th baby! I have a long ways to go to catch up to her:) Congratulations Katheryn! I'm so happy we get to be pregnant together!!!!
