GoodWill Shopping

" *Findings* at the Goodwill are like finding treasure". Those were the words of my dear friend Amber, and I do agree with her :) I found some wonderful treasures that I would like to share with you all.
I found this tea pot for $2.99 a week ago. I love the gold around the lid and how the handle curves. It was made in England which makes me happy to think that it came from the country I long to visit.
The tea cup is so sweet. I got it for my sister Elizabeth, because she collects "Blue Tea Items" I got it for 59 cents :) I still can't get over this *treasure finding*!

And it was also made in England by Johnson Bros.

GoodWill Shopping

I found this lamp and another identical to this at the GoodWill a couple of days ago. I love them so much. I put one in Jon's office and this one is above the mantle in the living room. I got them for 3.99 and 4.99 ( 4.99 is the larger of the two )

GoodWill Bedspread

I got this creamy white bedspread at the GoodWill last week for $5.99 I have been wanting a white or Cream bedspread for awhile, my sister Elizabeth at A Sailing Journey made a post about decorating in black and white and I loved it.
I hoped Jon would like it. Before he got home I tried to make it more manly by adding some green to the room. I had some green pillows and a green candle. I really like the color combination. He liked the room, (I think he liked the price I got for the bed spread even better) I told him we can start adding the color green more in our room. I just need to find a picture to hang on the wall over the bed.

I rearranged my dresser and added more creams to it. The little tea pot my sister in law Himilce gave me for Christmas. It burns a tea candle in it. The vase I got at Michael's for 2 dollars.

Wonderful Weekend!

John and I had a wonderful 3 day weekend! We think we found our church! The pastor who spoke was very good and we felt at home right away!

We had so much fun on Saturday night with our new friends! We got there at 6:00 and we left at 10:00! The dinner was excellent! Julie made potato soup with amazing dinner rolls that were the same recipe from Red Lobster!

Julie has a bunny!! He was so cute! I would occasionally feel his little paws scratching at my jeans under the dinner table, he would bite at my jeans also! I thought he was so sweet, he got in to trouble for doing that but he won my heart!

Jonathan and I found some great deals the other day when we went shopping for clothes! Thanks Amber for your suggestion, we didn't go to Old Navy but I want to check it out!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! John got a day off on Monday, it was nice to have him around the house to help me with some of the left over unpacking. He made me a delicious dinner later that evening! Beautiful steak with amazing sauce over rice!

Oh yeah, I'm getting very excited for one of my very favorite holidays! I don't know why I love this holiday? I think its because it suggests spring and sunshine even when its cold outside!!

Fun Day Out!

Elizabeth and I met with our long time childhood friend Holly who is getting Married in January! We got to give her a wedding present because we both won't be able to make her happy day! We were supposed to meet at Star Bucks but I got really hungry so we went to Sam's club and ate at their little deli, we had pizza and ice cream! Then we walked around shopping and trying samples :) That is my favorite part!

Elizabeth and I got to shop a little today and we had so much fun together!
We each tried on hats at Koals! Hats are such a down fall for us! We don't wear them too much but we love shopping for a new one!
This one is very cute but I'm not sure if I could really wear it!!
Later this evening we all got to see our sweet little Olechka play basket ball at her school! Her team did really well! The score was 39 to 28
Olga is number 22

Saturday Morning!!!

Jonathan and I went garage sailing this morning! We went kinda late, but we still got some steals! I found this sweet little picture for 2 dollars!
I got these bottles for a dollar each. I love the pink depression glass one. It is really old! They had a lot of depression glass bottles but this was the only one with a lid. It looks really vintage I think!! Now I have to decide what I'm going to do with them. Any Suggestions?
