Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

Jonathan and I watched a movie a couple of nights ago called Mr. Smith goes t0 Washington. Its a 1939 classic by Frank Capra, (Its a wonderful life) staring Jimmy Stewart and Jean Arthur.  I had seen it before but it had been a while, Jonathan had never seen it. We loved it!  I recommend it to anyone. Its a good movie to watch right before all the upcoming presidential elections!

Silly Kitty Cat

I wish I could write posts about my kids but until I have them I will have to stick to my kitty cats! My female cat is so fat, She doesn't look it from afar, not until you pick her up and feel her weight. Anyways she is very lazy and loves eating and drinking, laying on her tummy. I have never seen a cat do this, just dogs really. When she is not eating or sleeping or terrorizing our apartment, she is sitting in the sun on her little bottom. Her belly is sticking out for all the world to see. I think she is a very silly Kitty Cat

Table and Chair set

When I moved to Scottsdale I brought an old table and chair set that my mom saved for me to have when I got married! The chairs needed to be recovered, it is a really nice table and chair set. I love it more now than I did with the new chair recovering. Here is the before picture and the after.
Here is the table runner Jonathan made with the extra material!
The hutch in the back came with the set. I especially love this piece. I keep all my china and tea items in it.

Lisa's Monster Cookies

Well, what can I say? Himilce and Lisa has inspired me to bake! I used Lisa's cookie recipe and made some delicious cookies! I changed the recipe just a little since I didn't have m&m's. I added white chocolate chips instead. The are really yummy! Thanks Lisa and Himilce!

My Sweet Olechka

Its been so wonderful being married to my husband Jonathan now for almost 2 months! I have never been so happy in all my life. I never knew how wonderful married life could be! God has truly been so good to give Jonathan to me!!
Even though I am so happy, I have been missing my family in Colorado, in particular my sweet younger sister Olga. She has been such a blessing in my life since she came into our family a year and half ago! She comes all the way from Russia with my two other brothers, Russell and Eddie. God knew I needed Olga when my twin sister Elizabeth got married! Olga and I had each other and clung to each other for support. I knew she would feel sad about my leaving the house just like how I felt Elizabeth leaving me.
Olga and I used to share a room, share a closet and share a bed. We would always have stories to tell each other the next morning on how one girl kicked the other girl on the head during the night!
We would share each other's clothes and inspire each other to try a new style. Olga has such a fashion eye. She's always inspiring me with new clothes ideas! I came home for Christmas with a new pair of boots. I didn't know how to wear my jeans inside of them without feeling dorky, so I would just wear the boots with the jeans on the outside. I asked her how I should wear them and she just graved my foot and tucked my jeans in side the boot and then puffed out the jeans just a little at the top edge of the boot. I love those boots now! She is 16 and at the best age to find every girlie thing in common. We talk on the phone a couple times a week but it is still hard. Being in Scottsdale has allowed me to be near my sister Elizabeth and my sister in law Ruthie, which is so wonderful because we get to see each other more often! We just need Sweet Olechka to fill the gap! My sister in law Himilce is in Colorado as well whom I miss. I realized that its my family who are my friends.  The Lord sure has blessed me with a great family and a great husband!!!

Kitties!!!

We have five new members of our family now instead of three, Jonathan the Turtle and Myself. We have two new kitties!!! John found them on again Craigslist!! This sweet couple was from India. Their visas expired and they have to go back to India. They were trying to get an extension but were denied. So they had to get rid of their 7 month old kittens! The kitties came with chips embedded in them and the rest of their paraphernalia! They didn't charge us a dime for anything. The cats are really good and well trained! At night when we go to bed we put them in "their" bathroom so they won't wake us at night. They just went right to sleep on their kitty bed and we never heard a peep out of them. They are really cozy and comfy cats! I LOVE YOU JONATHAN!!!!!!!!!

Rebecca

At the great corwall estate of Manderly, Maxim de Winter and his frightened new wife try to live with the haunting legacy of Maxim's first wife, the beautiful and cold Rebecca, who died in a sailing accident. This English Mystery is very interesting and cozy! I at first wasn't too interested in it but page by page it captivated me. The new young wife of Maxim de Winter is really interesting how she falls in love with Maxim and comes home to his grand estate Manderly and faces a new and strange household. Of course the book is about the mystery behind Rebecca's death and if Maxim is still in love with his first wife. It is a very charming book and I highly recommend it!

Since I have finished this book I feel quite alone. I always feel this way after finishing a good book!!! I chose to read Moby Dick.  So far it is funny which surprises me because I never thought Moby Dick would be funny! I will update you with the outcome of this book as well! Happy reading to all you book worms!!

My new tea set!!!

Jonathan just bought me this sweet amazing Silver tea set a couple of weeks ago! He got it off of craigs list for 35 dollars! The man he bought it from also threw in a lot more silver items as well! I have been having so much fun with it! Every time I have tea time (which is every day) I serve it in my new tea set! I also have been making soft boiled eggs for breakfast with toast and tea and it looks so British!! Jonathan is the best!!
The tea cup in the picture is what I got from Russia a year in a half ago. The name of the china is called Katherine The Great. I got is really cheap at a flea market in Moscow.

We're Home now

Wow! I'm back from my honeymoon, Christmas is over and life has finally come back to regular motion again! It has been a wonderful and busy couple of months! Our honeymoon was great! We had a blast walking the streets of NYC! We took the train from New Jersey every day. Taking the train was so much fun because we got to see New York the way most New Yorkers See it! We visited the Empire Stated Building, Ellis Island, Marry Poppins on Broadway! We also visited washington D.C. which was really fun! When we got back from our honeymoon, went home to Colorado for Christmas which was so much fun seeing the family after our trip, But themost fun I have had is finally being home, married to Jonathan and starting to get our little apartment more like home! MARRIED LIFE IS WONDERFUL!!!!
