Marie's Nursing Tea

I made my own Nursing Tea the other day. I have been having a hard time producing enough milk for the precious Baby. I hope this is helpful for any mother out there :)

Here are all my ingredients for my Nursing Tea
  1. Fenugreek
  2. Marshmallow Root
  3. Fennel Seed
  4. Alfalfa Leaf
  5. Chamomile
  6. Nettle
  7. Raspberry Leaf
I just mixed all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and then sealed it in a ziplock bag.
Directions:
Just add two teaspoons of tea to a boiling 4 oz tea cup of hot water and enjoy :)

Elizabeth's Room

Here is some pics of Eliza's room. I wanted her to feel cozy and comfortable while she was with us. She is not sure when Benjamin's school will start, and I don't want her feeling like a guest. It is going to be hard when she leaves us. We are having so much fun getting our businesses started together and just catching up on life.

Hannah Giles

I love that we live in a free country and that freedom of the press exists. I find that "true" journalism has disappeared from this country. But we have hope, Hannah Giles 20 and James O'Keefe 25 went undercover and exposed Acorn. Funny how no other news media has reported this. Fox is the only one. Acorn was found to be funding prostitution and human trafficking for underaged girls. It is really hard not to get upset when you find out where our tax dollars have been going.

Acorn is now suing Hannah for exposing them. If you would like to make a donation to help her fight these ridiculous lawsuits you can click on this link.

Tea and Busyness

Well these last couple of weeks we have been so active and busy. Jon has been remodeling the bathroom and his office. (I will post some pictures of his new finished office soon) We have had company over and have been away. We have been working a lot on our "new" makeup business plus trying to keep the house clean and the babies fed (Jon and baby) :)
During all the chaos we do manage to set a time aside for Tea. It is our little treat and something to look forward too.

Motives Makeup

Loren Ridinger unveils Motives Custom Blend Foundation.

Motives Custom Blend Foundation is designed to match skin tones perfectly and provides the desired coverage and finish by employing an advanced combination of bases, toners, enhancers, and modifiers that conceal any feature for a truly signature look. It sets a new standard in customized cosmetics with a simple process of choosing a base, adjusting with toner, then adding personal touches from an extensive selection of modifiers and enhancers that adjust the foundation texture, coverage and finish to meet any need or personal preference.

For more natural coverage, Thinner dilutes the base for a sheer finish while Hydrator restores moisture in dehydrated skin.

For those with t-zone shine or oily skin, Mattifier imparts a flawless, shine-free, powder finish for camera-ready makeup as it absorbs any surface oil, and Oil Control helps manage oil production for 8-10 hours by utilizing botanicals with astringent, purifying and cleansing qualities.

Need a lift? Skip the syringe! Fringe Benefit plumps fine lines, restores radiance and re-texturizes the skin, while Ultra Firming botanical complex uses soy protein for an instant tightening “flash” effect that lasts throughout the day, almost like having a liquid Botox. Something everyone should include is the buildable Sunscreen Additive, which provides lightweight, non-greasy SPF protection from harmful UV rays.

For those in need of extra coverage, Enhancers increase the foundation pigment from medium coverage for slight imperfections such as freckles and dark circles, to maximum coverage for camouflaging more severe problems like hyper-pigmentation, post-surgical bruising or discoloration, scars and tattoos.

Nasty Gnats

  1. There was a battle going on in my kitchen and I have the victory. The gnats are defeated! Thanks to Lizzy from I'm carried to the table. She posted awhile back about vinegar and how many ways you can use it. Here is the link that she gave. And here is the recipe,
  2. 2 cups water, 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar, 2 Tablespoons Sugar and a couple of drops of dish soap.

Grammy and Grandpa

I never got to post my parents when they got to see the baby. The one of my mom is in my back yard when she was visiting. My dad wasn't able to come out with my mom but he got to see the baby when I flew out to phoenix. This one of my dad is the first time he got to hold Zane.

New Luggage

I found these cute new suitcases at the Christmas store here in Dayton. I loved them so much I had to get them, oh and Elizabeth got them also :) We certainly are a lot alike. We are using them tomorrow for a retreat Elizabeth and I are going to. So I will not be posting over the weekend.

Two New Blogs

I posted awhile back about my mom having a new blog, but the link was not right so here is her new address Where Your Treasure Is. Also my little Russian brother Eddie has a home school blog up. He posts everything he is learning so it is so much fun to read. Here is the link A Walk Through History.

New Stove

We got a wood stove installed last week. We got it fitted inside of our fireplace. I am so glad because the winters here are so cold and I hate using the furnace because it is so expensive. Last winter we used the little electric heaters but we can't do that with this house because it has an old electric line so it wouldn't be able to handle all the little heaters at once. I'm so happy to have a warm light coming from the living room this winter :)

Down Stairs

Here are some pictures of my home. These are all of the downstairs. The upstairs is still coming along. Jon is in the middle of remodeling the bathroom. He also is in the middle of redoing his office. I can't wait to show the pictures of these projects :)

Colonial Williamsburg VA

I finally got all my pictures up of our trip. We used our Timeshare and stayed in Colonial Williamsburg for two days while we were away. It was so nice to relax and just enjoy.

I will be posting more pictures SOON. It has been so much fun having my sister stay with us. I have so much to share. We have been reorganizing our little house so my sister is comfortable. I want to post pictures of her room. And pictures of ours. I also need to post pictures of our house but it is a mess right now.

We are trying to make a schedule in the mornings. We thought, blogging and tea with toast sounds excellent. So I am going to try and post once a day like I used to.
