Tea and Scones

I am still here I have just been out of the blogging zone lately. I have a lot of posts to post but not much blogging energy. Our internet was off for a little but now it is up and operating.

 I have been busy researching a little Tea and Scone business for myself. I started wanting to sell cupcakes at a local Farmer's Market, when I went down to it last week to scope it out I realized I need to make something a little more authentic. John helped submit my Vendors application today and I hope to hear if I have been approved as a qualified vendor! I am testing out my scones this week to see if they are any good :) If I get approved and the Vendors Insurance isn't too much money I will hopefully start selling Scones and Tea every Saturday!

I hope everyone is well and had a wonderful Easter celebrating Christ Resurrection!

Next Door Friends

I'm babysitting little cutie pie Gwynn today. We are going to have a delightful day with books a tea party and fun! 

Pregnant Toes

My mom took me and my sister in law Himcile out to get our toes done last week. It was the nicest treat. I still can't get over how nice my feet feel. 

Home Again

I' m sorry it has taken me so long to get back to writing. I have had a full week! I am happy to say that the Baby Shower was so much fun. It was hard leaving everyone again. The week went way too fast for me. I am excited to get back home and into my little grove again. I hope you all are enjoying the spring. The grass is getting long out here and were starting to see blossoms on the trees. 

The shower was so much fun. You wouldn't believe it but I left my camera behind. I was so upset. I am going to wait for my sister and mom to send me some pictures so I can post them. I have been having so much fun putting our little baby's room together now that I'm home. Everyone showered me with beautiful gifts. I will start taking pictures and post all the little items we got for our little guy. I'm not sure if I had posted yet about what we were going to name the baby. We have decided on Zane Wesley. Zane means God is gracious. I have never heard that name before except the author Zane Grey. 

Jon and I have also decided to have the baby at home. We asked our Chiropractor if he knew any midwives and he recommended someone for us. We are really excited about this. We are looking into a water birth also. I will post more info later when I have it :)

Great Movie

I just watched this movie. I have wanted to read the book for some time but gave in and watched the movie first, I'm glad I did. It was very good, I was surprised it was so good! Now I will have to read it. Charlton Heston did a superb job ! 

I have been away too long. I wanted to post some of the cake pictures but I forgot my camera at the birthday party, Jonathan was able to take a few with his phone. Once he gets a chance to send them to my email I will post them. 

This last week has been a little busy, getting ready for the phoenix trip, doing laundry, nothing too exciting. I  rearranged the basement a few days ago, I'm not so scared to go down there now :)

Barbie Day

I have had a fun baking day! I am making a Barbie Birthday Cake for my friend Amanda's little girl. Her Birthday is Sunday. I made 2 dozen cupcakes which I will frost tomorrow and 2 nine inch round cakes for the dress. I also baked a cake in a 9 inch glass bowl which will be part of the dress for Barbie. Tomorrow I will frost the cup cakes and design Barbie's outfit! I hope it doesn't flop! I will post pictures when I can.

Baby Shower

I have been so excited this last week because  I'm traveling to Phoenix in two weeks for my baby shower! The baby shower won't be just for me but also for Himilce at Growing Up Gracefully  and Katheryn at Mom Serving Christ We will have one Grand baby shower all together! My sister Elizabeth is making the cakes, Katheryn's mom Kathy who is married to my Grandpa is hosting the party, she also is the one flying me down. My mom is driving down from Colorado with Olga and the boys. I have been having a blast putting together Himilce and Katheryn's shower gifts. I wish I could post them but not before the party :)

Sweet Svetlana

I have to post these pictures, this little kitty has found a sweet spot in our hearts. She is still shy but she has certainly become part of our family. She would love to be the only kitty in our family if she had it her way. We can't get over her beautiful coat. When summer comes we are going to shave her like a lion. The baby's theme is going to be safari so we thought she would fit right in with his room. The two black kitties will be the baby's jaguars LOL!

Baby Changing Table

Amanda brought over her baby changing table for me today! I am so happy with it! I am going to paint it just not sure yet what color. I think I might paint over the  pink with white and keep it white but we will see. Thank you Amanda!

I am getting so excited about this baby! Every day my anticipation increases for the happy day he enters our world! 

Wilton Course 2 Class 4

I didn't make it to my last Wilton class last Tuesday, because of being ill. Later in the week I figured out how to do our finale cake which involved the basket weave. My cake probably could have been better if I had a teacher with me but I'll take what I can get!

These are all the royal icing flowers we had been working on the last couple of weeks.

It took me awhile to figure out the basket weave by myself, but I'm proud to say that my efforts were not in vain :)
