Nursing Tea

Any of you moms having trouble with gassy babies? My midwife gave me some of this Nursing Tea and it helps increase moms milk and it also helps with baby's gas and indigestion. It also helps heal moms uterus back to its original size. I used it the first couple days and it helped bring my milk supply in, but I stopped for some reason. The baby has had bad gas and is having a hard time digesting, so out came the tea again. So far I can see it is helping him. I just started last night so its a little early to judge but he has been able to sleep more :) Here is the site to buy the tea if any of you moms need more milk or need help with the gas or indigestion or even colic.

Update

Our house has been a busy one. We have had men in and out of our house for two weeks now. I haven't updated about what happened the night the baby was born. When I was in labor our bathtub leaked through the ceiling down into the living room. It was the first time we had ever used the bathtub. So Jon filled the kiddie pool up so I could use that instead.
By the time the baby was just being born we had a tremendous thunderstorm which resulted in our basement being flooded. Welcome to being first time home owners and first time parents :)
Our insurance is covering us, we just have to pay the deductible. So our living room has had plastic all over it to protect the furniture and the rest of the house from all the debris while the construction has been underway to fix the ceiling. The bathroom floor is being redone also. Luckily our bathroom needed to be remodeled so it really is a blessing in disguise. Jon bought a new toilet and vanity with a new sink and faucet. Jon has also been busy redoing our lawn and yard out front and out back. I will post pictures when he's finished.
So I will be posting pictures of the house as soon as i can. In the meantime I will be kissing and loving this dear baby!
I love his arms in this picture. He must get this from daddy :)

Meredith's Little Woolies

Yesterday I came home from running some errands and I found a yellow envelope in the mail box addressed to Zane Marius. I looked at the return address and the name was Meredith Alexander. Surprised and overjoyed, I eargerly opened up the envelope and I pulled out this sweet little "Woolie" Meredith had affectionately sewn for little Zane! It is so beautiful! She embroidered his name as you can see in the pictures. Her beautiful card was homemade also and it had the sweetest note of greetings and encouragement and told me how her mom had made her one when she was a baby and called them " Woolies"
Thank you Meredith, you are so good to us! By the way, the Safari pattern is so cute and it goes beautifully with nursery.

More Pictures

I'm so sorry it has taken so long to post. I have been wanting to but haven't felt up to it. I have made a good collection of baby photos! I hope I'm not boring anyone with so many pics, but I can't get enough of this little guy :)
His little tummy keeps him up all night and I wake up hearing him grunting so its hard for me to sleep when I hear him in pain or discomfort, I try to nap in the day, while he's sleeping. I'm trying to enjoy the advantage of having just one child right now because the next time around I won't be getting much naps in with two :) I sure admire you moms with more than one child!

Himilce gave us this cute little outfit. I don't know if you can read his little shirt, but it says  on the front " If I'm not sleeping ( on the back of the bottoms it says) " Nobody is".
Jon and I can't stop smelling him touching and watching him. Even when I'm so tired at night when its 2 in the morning and I'm not awake, he makes me smile and love him all the more.

More baby pics

His little feet got stamped that morning.
Jon and Zane 2 days old.

My midwife Patty, She has become such a good friend of mine. I am so grateful for her, I can call her anytime and ask her anything that I might be wondering about the care of the baby. She is like family to us.

Zane Wesley Marius

Little Zane was born this morning at 2:47 a.m. He weighed 9.6 pounds and he is 21 inches long. Jon and are so delighted with this little bundle. He slept in between us for a couple of hours but I couldn't sleep having this new baby rest right beside me.
Jon was the best husband, he was so patient with me while I was in labor. I was in labor for 22 hours and hard labor for 6. I know I probably squeezed his hand off for four of those hours. My midwife Patty was a blessing from the Lord also, She coached me and encouraged me and helped me to remain calm. I still am shocked how loud I screamed, I thought that was just hollywood.

I spent about four hours in the kiddy pool and then I delivered on our bed. As soon as he came out Patty handed him over to me and he just rested on my belly. I was in shock for awhile having him inside of me and then there he was resting on my belly! God is so good!

Catching Up

I have been busy cleaning and organizing this whole last week. Today is Saturday and Jon and I are just finishing up cleaning the house we had previously been renting. I have been away from the blogging world because our new home has no internet yet. Once we get it I will post some more pictures of our new home. The baby is still cooking away. I was glad he has been baking so long because we got to go to my friend Jodi's wedding earlier today. I wasn't sure if I or the baby could hold out until now and here I am! The wedding was so beautiful. I brought my camera but there was no battery in it. I will post some of her pictures when I can get some! I hope everyone is doing well. I will be catching up with you all as soon as I can!

Master Bedroom

Here is our new bed. We don't have any furniture in the room. Just a lamp and the bed. I love the little closet doors and the little crystal handles and the little plated light switch.

The Nursery

I got some pictures of the little Nursery today. This is the only almost completed room in the house. I still want to hang some pictures on the wall and finish putting the books in the bookcase.

All the furniture you see here has been given to us by all of our dear friends. The only the thing I bought was the dresser. The little couch my sister in law Himilce gave to me a couple years back.

Moving

In the middle of moving. I have been slowly waddling along with this belly. Each truck load brings more disorder to our new home, which I love putting in order! I will posts some pictures once the mess is put away. We move the big furniture on Sunday. Last night we brought our bed over so I could be happy to know that if the baby comes this week I can have the baby in our new home. Well, last night we found that our queen spring box couldn't fit through the stairs going up. We ended up sleeping in the living room and getting up early to drive down to Cincinnati to go to Ikea to get a cheap $140 bed that doesn't need a box spring. We got that put up today. People were sure much smaller back then. Now were worried about getting our couch to fit through the front door. I will let you know the out come :)

New Home

Thursday the day before the closing date we found out that we finally got a approved on our house loan! Yes, almost a month later we find out! Praise the Lord :)
The very next day at 2:00 we signed all the papers!

We celebrated later that night and had a special dinner in our new home!

Because of our excitement we didn't get many pictures in  but no worries, there is much more to come! We just walked through the house and looked over everything again, talked about where we wanted furniture and how we were going to set up the babies room. We set up the babies room that night and I will post some pictures soon. We have been slowly moving all Saturday and Sunday. The house is just a couple minutes away from where we are renting. I am so glad because I can just load the truck up all week while Jon is working and take out a big chuck of the ugly moving we all so dread.
