Talk About Being Vulnerable!!!!

You wouldn't believe what happened to me and John last night! I woke up with a small little pinch on my arm that started to tingle and sting! I woke John up telling him that my arm hurt and I wanted him to turn on the light. He turned on the light and told me his eye lid hurt. I knew we had been stung by something and I was afraid it was a scorpion. We turned all the pillows over and then the sheets, we pulled the mattresses off the bed frame and what do you know, a yellow baby scorpion!!!! I wish it was a bad dream, it wasn't! I grabbed something to smash it with, sense the scorpion was next to me. Then John threw a shoe at me to grind it in the floor. I was so grossed out. Of course we couldn't sleep in the bedroom because we feared there would be more. My mom had told us awhile ago that if we ever got stung by a scorpion to put vinegar on directly. John looked up scorpion bites on the internet. The deadly scorpions are the black ones which are rare in Arizona. We are going to call the pest control!!!! John and I are going to pray before we go to bed tonight! - Oh, and by the way, the pain/tingling lasted for over 12 hrs!

Oh my goodness, Marie!! That sounds just horrible! I bet it has been scary having to crawl under the covers each night since then...

A few weeks ago I woke up and there was a BAT on my white headboard and that scared me pretty badly... but I'm sure a scorpion would be much worse!

Hope you're having a great week...

Thanks Meredith for your comment. Yes I was pretty scared getting in bed last night. I tried not to think about it. John and I prayed that the Lord would protect us while we slept and I have to say that I slept like a baby!

That is very scary about having a bat on your head board, I don't know which is worse. What did you do?

Hope your week is great as well!!!!

Oh, I understand that! How did that bat get in the house?

I think they come through our fireplace and hang out in the basement... We've seen one other before... I don't know why it wanted to hang out in MY room though!! :)
