Welcome To Our Abode

Well, this post is so long over due. I promised upstair pictures six months ago and yes it has taken me this long to be happy with the master bedroom.

Having the crib in our room while Elizabeth is here has been fun for Jon and I.
We are going to miss our little fellow when he goes back to his nursery.

We still need to paint and that has been a question long unanswered in our minds. I think we will go with a soft grey, not to dark mind you :)

I love lighting the candles when the little Lad retires for the night, it brings such a warm and fresh feeling when we retire.

The white lace over the window is a tablecloth I got at a antique shop for 2 dollars because it had lots of holes in it. It was made by an Amish woman and I loved it even with the rips and holes.

Our window is so small and curtains didn't seem to suit while the bed was against the window so I tried this idea and I think it will work for now.

I love waking up in the morning and finding little Zane's face peeking at me through the bars of his crib and smiling away. Who could wake up on the wrong side of the bed with a little cutie pie on the other side smiling at me?

I should be posting about the bathroom but who knows how long that will be because we still need to finish up odds and ends that we had started.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deutronomy 6:4

Marie I LOVE that first picture peaking in. You are right about seeing the baby smile, it just drains the grumpiness right out of a morning :) I've never been one to get irritated at being awoken in the middle of the night-- how can I be when I look at Asher cute fluffy hair!? I think you are right about the pale grey; I'll bet it will look beautiful in there.

Thanks for the comment. I miss having you close by so you can inspire me with certain decorating looks and ideas.

lovely, I love the lace on the windows, I have been wanting to do this because I love the light it lets in but still allows for privacy. I love the candles and the little tree :)

Oh so elegant Marie and I think the soft grey will look lovely. You have such wonderful taste! Is that a rosemary tree?

I'll photograph it and see if you're interested.;-)

That would be such a delight Lizzy! I am sure we will find a way to meet!

That is so neat that your Grandmother's home was in the Victoria magazine! My mom just LOVES victoria magazine, and has passed on her love to me. You will have to tell me what issue it is. My mom tries keeping all her hers so she might have it?
