Got some wonderful cravings after dinner last night and decided to make my dreams come true!
found my mom's apple pie recipe in my recipe book and got my hands busy!!
Suprisingly had just enough apples on hand!!!
probably one of the yummiest crusts I have made, I realized that I had sifted the flour this time, boy did it sure make that crust melt in my mouth.
Yum yum yum!!
I thought these bottom pictures were funny,
Jon was getting pictures of the pie but you can see my belly bump in the background LOL!
Getting to be a pooch!!
And boy was he kicking away on those apples last night :)
I have been thinking about pregnancy lately, and how hard it can be at times. Being tired and week isn't my cup of tea usually. Especially added with the extra emotional roller-coast it takes you on.
Found this on Disciple's Notebook and was reminded to be blessed and encouraged by my weaknesses.
"When the believer is weakest, he is strongest. The child who knows most its utter feebleness entrusts itself most completely into the mother’s arms. The young eagle that knows, by many a fall, its own inability to fly yields itself to be carried on the mother’s mighty wing. When it is weak, it is strong. Likewise, the believer, when he has found out, by repeated falls, his utter feebleness, clings with simplest faith to the arm of the Savior.”

You all be blessed :)
Love you

That Apple Pie looks amazing. I'm not pregnant, but I've just decided I do have cravings!
And I love the photo of you and your bump in the background - it looks like you're just... JUST ...holding yourself back from the Apple Pie for him to take the photo...and then you're gonna dive in!
Love, Anne x
At least you can call it "pregnancy cravings"! I guess I could say I am having a nursing craving! I always feel like I could eat a horse! :D This pie looks like it melts in your mouth! The crust is gorgeous! You are so cute with that belly! I hope this doesn't count as the pregnancy photo update lol! :D
what a gorgeous pie and crust!! you are so talented!! and i like that scripture - i think being "weak and tired" also allows you to be even more loved and pampered for by others something you'll need and cherish once the baby arrives :)
I think I have sympathy cravings. :-D And sympathy weight gain, maybe the first caused the second. :-D)(that's my double chin) hahaha
The pics of that pie, are amazing!!! I LOVE it that you use such pretty dishes even when it's just you and Jon. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Being pregnant is SUCH a miracle. Everything about it is God ordained. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel emotional, cry! And if you feel fat and un-attractive, ask your husband who I'm sure looks at that belly and feels a great sense of PRIDE. :-D My David used to tell me all the time, "HEY, don't talk bad about my work, there." hee hee
I love you!!!! So So much! That baby is blessed beyond words to be born into your loving and grace filled home.
Isn't it so true that we love being pregnant when we aren't and then when we are, well it can be hard going can't it?
I did determine to enjoy every moment of my pregnancies as it is such a special time but it wasn't easy with nine months of morning sickness each time, and all the tiredness etc.
But when you feel that little one squiggle away it makes every single thing worth it!
Your pie looks delicious too!
your pie looks absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS!!! wow! and i just browsed your lovely Etsy 'store' ~ way to go, girl!
Wow that's beautiful and I'm sure its equally tasty!
Your pie looks sooo good sweetie, and so do all of your cozy activities below. I love those pictures. Zane is getting sooo big. Daddy and I just ooohed and ahhhed over Zane. Love your commentary too. Thinking of Zanes bi-colored slippers, reminds me of when you girls were that age, and you often had the same shoes... you would often go around with two right feet, and Elizabeth two left. When you wore little boots it was especially cute. Oh well, sigh, I wish I was there sharing your pie and leaves. Still thinking we are going to get there soon.
Love you
Mom

Your pie crust looks beautiful..I am sure you covered it in the oven..as I always seem to forget..and it gets burned...I must remember to COVER MY PIES!! I love how you decorated your pie top...And I must agree with Elizabeth..I do believe I get Nursing Cravings and feel Like I could eat everything in the house.. : ) well you remember I was eating a Bag of Chips when I was on the phone with you... HOW RUDE of me.. : ) I guess you can just say I lost all of my manners when That craving came over me..
I feel Like Making a Pie again..

Be Cozy Marie...In Christ..
Much love to you

LOL Angelina,
I have to admit that I don't usually put foil on my pie crusts either. I didn't for this pie and for some reason it didn't burn LOl
Oh yeah thats right! I have a happy memory of our conversation and that you were munching away on chips, it made me feel cozy and reminded me of my sister Elizabeth LOL, it wasn't rude at all!
