Colonial Williamsburg VA

I finally got all my pictures up of our trip. We used our Timeshare and stayed in Colonial Williamsburg for two days while we were away. It was so nice to relax and just enjoy.

I will be posting more pictures SOON. It has been so much fun having my sister stay with us. I have so much to share. We have been reorganizing our little house so my sister is comfortable. I want to post pictures of her room. And pictures of ours. I also need to post pictures of our house but it is a mess right now.

We are trying to make a schedule in the mornings. We thought, blogging and tea with toast sounds excellent. So I am going to try and post once a day like I used to.

Visiting With Mom

I have been away so long because of our two week trip in North Carolina, Virginia and Florida When we got back My sister Elizabeth flew out to OH. Then we found out that my mom was flying in as well! She and my dad had been unavoidably detained when little Zane arrived, so this was the first time she got to meet her grandson. I think they both liked each other :)
It was so nice having her here for the first time. She brought so much joy in our home, she spoiled us rotten, she bought us food, cooked, cleaned and helped with the baby! All us girls talked our heads off the whole week. Jon did pretty well having three females talking day and night.

The day after my mom arrived Jon and I got to go to Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert in Cincinnati for our Anniversary! We have two anniversaries, one is August and one in November so its fun to celebrate twice a year!! Sean's Freedom concert was so amazing. Michael W. Smith was there ( He was my favorite) Billy Ray Cirus, Lee Greenwood and a bunch more! We had so much fun riding all the rides at Kings Island and then getting to watch Sean Hannity's radio show live! It was the first time we left the baby with some one but who better than Aunty and Grammy!

Later in the week we went to visit Patty because Elizabeth wanted to meet her and possibly do a home birth also. Patty gave her a check up and said she was healthy and her vitamin intake looked really good. We also got to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time! Later Patty drove us to one of her amish friends and we got to visit with the wife and her small boys. She was so sweet and friendly. We then went to a local amish store where we got fresh eggs and bread and fresh maple syrup for really good prices!

On Thursday I fly down to phoenix to help Elizabeth drive back to OH. Benjamin her husband is in the navy now so she is going to stay awhile with us. My dad is currently visiting Phoenix and will also get to meet the baby along with my brother Nathan and Himilce! I can't wait to meet their little new arrival also!

I still want to post pictures of our new little house, and also of our trip in florida. So maybe when I get back next week some time, until then Cheerio!!

Safari Baby

Yesterday we had our friend Gary come over and take some pictures of Zane. We found props in baby Zane's room and we managed to come up with these! These are not the pictures Gary took, we took these when he left. He took some amazing ones! He wants to take some more in a couple of weeks, so until then here are some to hold me over :)

Meeting Friends

I have been wanting to post about my visit in Virginia but have been so busy its been impossible. Meeting Meredith and her family is probably the 2 most exciting happening this year so far. My baby is number 1 :)

Seeing Meredith coming out of her front door and actually hugging her and hearing her voice was so wonderful. I felt like I was meeting my sister for the first time.

We had so much fun seeing her farm. I loved seeing everything about her farm and hearing about how it operates. My sister Elizabeth now needs to meet sweet Meredith, that is something we look forward to arranging! I loved meeting her family also. Her brothers are all so sweet and handsome, her sister Sheridan was so cute and smart for so young. I loved her parents. I could see why Meredith is so sweet and so hard working and wise.

It was hard leaving my friend and having to go back to the internet.

Thank you Meredith for allowing Jon and me to meet you and your family. I hope we can do it again and again.

More baby pics

I have been trying to get some pictures of his adorable smiles. They are so cute when I wake up in the middle of the night and he's crying and when I peek over his basinet he gives me the cutest smiles!

I love these ones, he's just staring at me as I click away at the camera!

Patty's Baby Party 2

Saturday morning turned out to be rainy and VERY stormy. It was cozy driving with Jon and the baby the 2 hours to Patty's house.
When we arrived, sure enough there was a buggy and horse drawn outside Patty's front yard.
When we went inside, we were met with babies and moms and kids! It seemed like Patty had a baby in her arms the whole time :) She was holding babies and busy making sure everyone got introduced and such.
The Mennonite girls made hundreds of cookies, I'm not kidding when I mean Hundreds, they were so delicious.
I had so much fun talking with the mothers that also had a home birth and I got to see their babies and hear their stories.
All the Amish mothers showed up, they were so sweet and eager to talk. I loved talking with them and meeting their children.
The party was supposed to be outdoors but with the rain we were inside. The whole house was full of moms and babies :)
Jon was 1 of 3 other dads there. He sat back and held the baby while I got to talk :) He still had a lot of fun even when surrounded by so many woman talking:)
I think Patty needs to have a baby party every 2 years so we can keep in touch with all the moms and meet all the new add ons!
I wanted to take a picture so bad but I couldn't out of respect to all the Amish mothers.

Enchanted April

I have been in agony trying to find this movie for the last 2 years. My grandma had owned it by VHS but they never made it into a Dvd. I couldn't rent it anywhere or watch it on Netflix because of this problem. I read the book last year and I loved the story even more. Last night I was wishing we could watch Enchanted April,  Jon just typed in "free movies" and he found Enchanted April!! Here is the Link if you would like to watch it.

Patty's Baby Party

Tomorrow Jon the baby and I are going to visit Patty who is having a Baby Party. Patty is inviting all the mothers who she delivered their babies for out to her place so we all can meet and get to know each other. She says that she wants us all to meet because we all are so alike and have a lot in common. I'm not sure if any amish families will come or not? I hope so because I have heard a lot about some of the mothers from Patty and I would like to meet them.
I have a present I'm bringing Patty for all the wonderful care she has given me. I found this old
Obstetricians book. The year on the front page says 1825, and the pictures in it are really old looking. I got it at a garage sale for 5 dollars. I hope she likes it because I don't know what else to give her as a thank you gift.
I will let you know how it went. I hope the baby does well in the car because it is a 2 hour trip to her place. I hope everyone has a blessed weekend.
