Missing Mom

I have been really homesick for my family in Colorado lately.  Especially my mom. I talk to her almost every day but it still is not the same as being together. When I still lived at home our favorite thing to do in the evening when dinner was over and all the dishes washed, was make a lovely tea with rice pudding or scones and get in my mom's bed upstairs  and watch Agatha Christie's Poirot. We watched every episode! So we had to start watching Agatha Christie's other TV series Miss Marple. We watched every one of those also! I miss those times. I know that time was a gift and I appreciate it all the more now! Besides watching TV we would always find our resting place together. We would have our coffee break together and end up talking for 2 hours. Or when we would have lunch if it was by ourselves we would talk a long time. Unintentionally of course. We usually talked about the Lord and it would bring up so many subjects in our lives. I remember I have always had happy memories with my mom, usually when my sister and I were young and we would climb up in her bed and she would read to us. We would read The Secrete Garden, Anne of Green Gables, Ramona Quimby, And a lot more.

Anyways, I just thought I would write about what has been on my mind.

Can you life get any sweeter??!!! What a blessing it is for me to hear of GOOD mother/daughter relationships.

I'd love to hear more of what makes your mom so special to you.

Your memories are so grand!!

Marie,
Hearing you talk of the relationship with your mom is what I want so badly with my children. Right now it is hard to envision more than tomorrow, but I cannot wait to have that sweet fellowship. Thanks for sharing. I know we can't wait to have everyon out here too. :)

Marie,

That is a good reminder to me to treasure the days I still have at home with my mom and the rest of my family because I'm sure I will miss them all sooo much when I am married one day too...

Thanks so much for sharing!
