A Spoon Full Of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down

I told my boss this week that I will no longer be able to work for him. I was kinda scared to tell him because I know he relies on me. I was relieved after because he took it so well and that I actually am free after a couple of weeks, maybe less. I'm a nanny and I take care of 4 kids. One 11 year old, one 8 year old, and a set of twins that are 4. It is a sad situation because its a divorce family. The kids are extremely angry and hard to work with. After starting the job I was shocked by their behavior and attitude with me and their father. I always knew that divorce was hard on kids but never realized how hard and destructive it is. I know that God placed me in this home for a time and I used that time as best as I could. I taught the little twin girls about the Lord. They had a kids bible that no one had ever read to them before and they loved it. They called it the "God Book". We read at meal time, we read at play time, at bed time, in the car time. They wanted to know every detail about every story. I noticed that the father was listening to our "God Book" at times and liked it. I have told the father about my faith in the Lord. He seems hungry. I know I have been a light to him for the last 3 months so I have faith that I planted seeds in their lives. Its the Lord's job to allow them to grow and some one else to reap what I have sown.
Well, to make a long story short, He needs a live in Nanny and I can't provide that for him because of course I'm married and want to start my own family eventually! So I will now be looking for a new job coming up. So as Marry Poppins planted seeds in a family's life that was in need, I hope I did the same. And as everyone who has watched the Marry Poppins movie knows, she had to leave and let the family use the wisdom that she offered them.

I hope you will find a great family.

I love the new background by the way!

aw, that is so tough! I know how hard it is leaving children, period. But leaving ones like that must be super hard. I will be praying for you and that family. Getting a new job is very scary. Have you thought about keeping children in your home, so maybe at least you can be at home in case your husband needs you?

Sounds like a hard decision, but the right one. I'm sure the kids are going to miss you immensely.

God will provide you with another family.
