The Lamb on the Cross

Remembering Our precious Lord's Sacrifice He made for me this week.
This season always humbles me as I think of Christ shedding His blood and giving his life so I might have freedom from my sins and share in His inheritance.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 5:6-11

I'm not a religous person myself, but I do envy those who have their faith. For me I need scientific proof of events.

Oh Marie, this is so good. I don't think we can fully fathom the sacrifice that was made for us Huh? I was thinking about raising lambs this week, and then I thought how would we ever be able to use them for meat, I don't think I could hurt my own lambs. Cows Pigs and chickens don't strike quite the same feeling in me (although a they do a little) Then I realized that this was an example of what a sacrifice it was kill something very precious and innocent, and how Christ was the "Lamb of God" as well as the "Son of God". Anyway, great post. Love you.
